Cala Sisine is a really beautiful beach , with a soil of small white rocks. It was one of our favorite beaches in the best trip we arranged in Arbatax.

Another beach with taste of Caribean. White stone, crystal clear water, accessible on boat, or by walk, or bike. Compared to Biriola or Mariolu much longer, therefore people can be spread a little bit along it. Restaurant nearby in walk distance. In August little bit...More

We arrived by kayak from Cala Gonone. The trip takes 3 hours so we were pretty tired. The restaurant was well deserved, but a bit overpriced for simple menu. Hard to get back into kayaks if there are even small waves.

Very nice beach but not as beautiful as nearby Cala Mariolu or Cala Goloritze. Good for snorkeling. Rocky.

Accessible only by boat (or hike), this is a good thing. One of a string of great little beaches in the Golfo di Orosei.

Cala Gonone in May (2 Replies)
Hello ! I would like to know if there are boat excursions to any of the other beaches from Cala Gonone (besides Cala Luna), this month (May), as it's low season. I'd really like to get out to Cala Sisine, Cala Biriola and Cala Mariolu. Also, is it possible to be dropped off on the beaches to relax and be picked up a few hours later or do you only get 20-30 minutes on the coves ? I don't want to rent my own boat as I'm on my own. Thanks in advance Best, Tina

Hi! yuo can do quad-bike excursions! Ogliastra is a special site for quad-bikers and also some desert beaches are available for try quad. for example Pranagia. You can also do road bike or mountain bike or horse rides and jeep drives.

Sleeping in Cala Sisine or Cala Luna (0 Replies)
My friend and I will be visiting Cala Gonone mid June and I love the idea of spending a night on the beach. I read in another post that it is legal to sleep in Cala Sisine or Cala Luna provided you book and and pay a nominal fee at the bar/ restaurant. I would like to confirm if this is still the case and clarify a few other doubts. I believe the water taxis only operate until 4/5 pm. Would it be possible to book a boat to drop us win the evening and pick us up in the morning. I have...More

Identifying beaches from boat (1 Reply)
I'm planning the details of an upcoming trip in early September. We want to see a few beaches along the coast to the south of Cala Gonone. I've waffled back and forth as to whether I would rent a RIB (for just my wife and myself) or take a tour boat with other people. After some reading here on TA I came to the conclusion that it might be best to do the tour first...and return a day or two later to rent a RIB. With this said, I wonder if I'm best off going with the consensus....people...More

Currently on holiday in Cala Genone and hired a RIB on the first day. I do recommend hiring a RIB at some point during your stay. The idea of going on a tour first I think is perhaps a good idea as you’ll know more about the coastline when going on your own. Means you can be more selective with beaches you visit etc. We went straight to Cala Goritze, the furthest beach south you can go to, with the plan to work our way back. We didn’t place much importance on identifying the beaches but...More
