Following the advice of other reviews we parked at Su Porteddu and went from there. Entry to the start of the hike down to the beach is €6 which many others have complained about, but we just viewed it as a parking fee for the day. We were told that we should have booked our ‘ticket’ online/the app as they can only let 250 people go down there, but luckily the day we went was quiet so we were okay.
From there you set off on an hour hike down to the beach which can be tricky in places with sharp rocks and steep, slippery gradients. For most however, this shouldn’t be a problem.
The beach itself is not sand but pebbly, which was fine, and we got there earlyish (c. 10am) so had more or less our pick of the spots to set up base. We were slightly unlucky with the weather as it was cloudy in parts but when the sun was shining, the water is crystal clear - very picturesque. Shame about the number of people there but we can’t complain as we were crowding it out for others!
The hike back to our car was tough! For context, we are 27 years old and relatively fit and active (but by no means athletes!). We walked at a reasonably brisk pace but there are some extremely steep and cobbly parts of the hike (exactly the same route as the way there, but uphill is always going to be harder). I would really say that a certain level of fitness is required to complete this in a reasonable time. The person at the ticket office said an hour down and an hour and a half back. We did the way down in an hour and the way back in an hour and 15 minutes, and that was us really working quite hard. Regular water breaks are required - I can only relate the amount we sweat on the walk back to playing five a side football in 30 degree heat. On that note, make sure you bring food and at least 1.5l of water per person for the day. Once you’re down on the beach there is nothing there

First thing to know is thee best way to see this place is hiring a boat from Cala Gonone. (You can walk but I read it’s a 2-3hr trek!) we went with skipper and thought 165€ for the day was great (plus fuel only 25 but other wanted 220 plus fuel)
Just an unreal place like nowhere in the world. The bluest, clearest water, amazing cliffs and rock formations. There was a few boats but not a ridiculous amount, it’s a popular place so can’t expect it to be empty. We didn’t swim to the beach as it looked crowded but enjoyed the views for some time from the boat.
Honestly one of the best days ever cruising along the cliffs and there are so many other amazing beaches with the whitest sand, clear waters and no one on them so definitely worth the money no doubt

We booked our access to this beach 48 hours before (on Heart of Sardinia app) as there is a limit to the number of people allowed on the beach. There were, however, tickets available on the morning when we turned up at 8am.
We stayed in a really cute B&B in Baunei so got to the entrance when it opened. Parking is at Su Porteddu bar. At the entrance there was someone there checking shoes to make sure we had the right footwear. It was quite a rugged hike and I felt more “moderate” than “easy”! It took us 1.5 hours to get there. Was definitely worth the effort with the view you got at the end! Take lots of water and food as there are no facilities on the beach itself. It is very stoney so we were glad we had brought our wet shoes with us. It took us the same amount of time to get back and we felt a little easier as was ascending rather than descending. We took a boat trip the following day around the Baunei coast and viewed the beach from there as the boats are not allowed to pull up in the beach. It honestly felt like a different beach viewing it from the outside! So glad we did the hike because it was a much better experience than just viewing it from the water. A really lovely day.

Beautiful beach, great trail to go down and up again. But way over the advertised 250 people limit number allowed, after few hours it was obvious that there were 350/400 people, in a pandemic year and while influx is controlled it was appalling to see. We left at 1pm at it was just too crowded and we could see people still coming down at 4pm! Disappointed to see how badly managed, for greed, it was and I’m sure is the same every day

Without crowd control. Not worth it . You pay a lot of money and you arrive at a nice place but it is so crowded that you don't enjoy it, it ends up being an ordeal. They don't let you return to Cala Gonone before if you have paid for the mini-cruise. It's scary how many people they put per m2. It's insane.

You can get there by boat or on foot. The hike starts at the car park (restaurant and toilets available). Reservations via app necessary - 250 places). If you can't get a reservation, you can also buy a ticket on site for 6 euros (from 7.30), but these are limited. At 9 a.m. there were still some for us. When we returned at 1 p.m., they were all gone.
1.15 down the way there. 1.45 hours back. The path back is in the sun and you walk almost 500 meters uphill over 3.5 km. Trail shoes Hiking shoes and poles recommended for the hike up. Sneakers also work in an emergency.
The beach is made of coarse gravel and tiny. Otherwise there are only rocks and in August there are masses of people as early as 10 a.m. The hike is beautiful. I wouldn't walk down for the beach. Photos are not possible anyway due to the masses of people and the number of boats. On the way you can see goats and wild boars that are used to people.

Incredible beach with sparkling blue water and beautiful vista. We trekked there in May so it wasn’t too busy (about 70 people?) and we didn’t need a ticket. It was a warm spring day and the swim was amazing after the trek there. The walk there is mainly downhill and easy going although you have to step carefully over lots of rocks and stones, there’s lots of lovely views on the way, plus goats and pigs wandering about. The way back is steep and uphill. Hard going, be prepared with water and good shoes and take it slow if you’re not a seasoned uphill walker. I have asthma so it was hard but completely worth it! Completely remote beach so take any food, drink etc you might be wanting while you’re there. Plenty of shade from the cliffs around you if you want to stay awhile, although I guess you don’t have that option in peak season. The Su Pordeddo bar and restaurant at the start of the trek (where you park) is great for before and after refreshment.

Spectacular! Without people flocking to it you could fully enjoy its beauty. At the height of the season it is a place to ask permission to pass waiting for your turn (and thank goodness you are quota!). Still wonderful.

Beautiful experience! The outward journey was even pleasant: A stupendous view, an enchanting landscape, a great desire to get there to see the cove with your own eyes after so many videos and photos.
I highly recommend doing the trekking trail early in the morning, when the ticket box opens.
DO NOT follow the path during hot hours, I recommend setting off when the beach closes.
The route is particularly difficult on the way back, but not impossible, even though I am an untrained trekker. It's worth it in any case

I highly recommend this experience if you love to explore and if you want a full immersion in this sea.It was an experience that I'll never forget.
We rented a small boat with pilot who showed us caves and hidden parts of the coast. If you prefer you can reach it on foot but you have to be practical about trekking.

Hello! We are planning to visit Cala Goloritze in June. We are staying in Marinella (18 km from Olbia). How long will take us by boat to reach Cala Goloritze? I cannot find the answer anywhere.

Quante persone possono entrare?

Yo cannot reach Goloritze by ship or rubber dinghy. You can only reach it swimming, letting your boat offshore. Otherwise, you go to goloritzè on foot after a 45 minutes of walk but before you must arrive by car at parking called "Su Porteddu" on the top of Altopiano del Golgo.
