Opened since 2010, this compact museum gives a real insight into the foundations of Samos' history, particularly Roman culture built around the holiday villas occupied by Roman emperors during wintertime. Many objects such as amphoras, coins, jewellery and more are displayed with descriptions in Greek...More

Even though it’s a small museum, the collection they have is amazing. If you’re into Greek and Roman history and art, you’re in for a treat. The information stands around the museum were really great.

Pythagorio is the ancient "Samos", a world's heritage site and definitely a lovely place. Its archaeological museum is a hidden jewel, as it pleasant, modern, very organised, hosting remarkable pieces. Definitely, it is a "must" if you visit Samos.

This museum was better than I expected in a town this size. Clean, well organized and with placards in Greek and English. 6 Euros for adults and free for anyone younger than 18. You can easily spend an hour there. Recommended.
