Kefalonia Island Tour

28 reviews
Commence a scenic island drive through olive groves, vineyards and thick cypress glades. Passing through the Mount Aenos you will visit the Robola Winery and taste the famous Robola variety of wine. Explore the Drogarati Caves, famous for their acoustics. Visit the geological phenomenon that is the Melissani Lake which is in an underground cave. Next, we go for lunch to the cosmopolitan village of Fiscardo, untouched after the great earthquake of 1953. Leaving Fiscardo you will head to the little fishing village of Assos, which gives the impression of being an island of its own. En route on our way back, you’ll make a photo stop at Myrtos Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

What you will see:
• Robola Winery – Visit inside, wine tasting
• Drogarati Cave – Visit inside
• Melissani Lake – Visit inside, boat ride
• Fiscardo Village – Lunch break (optional)
• Assos Village – Coffee stop
• Photo-stop at Myrtos beach

Our favourite little spot transporting us away from the hustle and bustle. We were well looked after as we used the beds on the beach or stopped for aperitifs pre going up to our room to prepare for dinner. Lovely people who go out of their way to look after you even after the impacts of the storm which devastated this little corner of paradise. Hopefully we will be able to return and already know what to expect in our favourite little spot.

A gem of a place! Kristina and Eva run a wondeful little neach bar on this cracking little beach. It is so welcoming, the music is excellent, cosmopolitan sounds from the sixties, seventies and eighties and the food is just as good. We sampled the Gyros, Burgers and Club Sandwich all excellent with "secret" ingredients! We would love to return, thankyou for making our trip so nice. Mark 1 and Mark 2

What a fabulous little lost gem this beach is. We were staying 3 minutes away at the Thallasa Hotel and walked down in the afternoon to have a look. It is small, quiet and so very peaceful. We grabbed a couple of gin and tonics and sat at the bar watching out to sea with a breeze gently blowing keping us cool from the fierce heat. They have sunbeds to rent but only about 20-30 of them because it is small and secluded. We went back day after day, sometimes for one drink, but just to taken in the view and the gentle breeze.
