This is a stiff, and pretty steep 1hr 15 walk up to but my god it's worth it! We went on a really hot day so going was tough up with a 10 & 14 year old but the scenery is amazing. The lake itself is stunning. You must go for a swim when you're there! We found a quieter bay to set ourselves down in which involved scrambling over some rocks but worth it. Amazing place!

Stunning lake Almost other worldly Well worth the pretty steep and demanding climb Pace yourself and you’ll be fine - but it is pretty steep Took us about 80 minutes to get up to the lake I recommend the left hand path of the two - more direct when you’re at the top Go early or late to avoid the crowds

Great place to hike in the French alps. Very beautiful and not so hard to reach. I'd recommend going in April maybe, where the weather wouldn't be cold but you can still find green and snow.

The 1h30min hike up to La Lauvitel from La Danchere is well worth the beautiful views you get of the lake and the surrounding area.
