After reading such good reviews, we thought we would take our family to learn some facts about the oysters that they have been eating in recent weeks. We arrived at the main car park at about 12:30 on a Saturday to find that the main...More

Staying locally and wanted to know more about Oysters. This is more than just a place to try them, this describes everything from the history, growth, farming and eating of Oysters. Our kids (7, 9, 11) found it interesting but I would make sure you...More

We only visited the museum as we had just come from a fabulous lunch at Le Cayenne, and it was hysterical. There was a very cheesy (and slightly tongue-in-cheek) video including a chef explaining how to prepare and eat oysters, which was thoroughly enjoyed. Besides...More

A really interesting place to visit, if you want to know all about the oyster visit the musuem. Lots of oyster cabanes and if you make it to the bottom a few lovely seafood restos too.

We expected to spend a couple of hours there but finally stayed the whole afternoon. Between the little house explaining oysters cultivation, the short film, the hour long commented visit on how oysters were produced and the bike tour, we haven't seen the time fly.

Do the full tour including oyster tasting and opening. Take the bike and cycle round the clairs ... A great afternoon, or lunch in one of the many, many places to enjoy oysters and other seafood and make a full day of it.

This Oyster Museum really impressed my family. Firstly it is very affordable at less than €10 per person including two oysters and €5 off-peak. There is much to take in and do with various large "sheds" you can explore. For example one shed had a...More
