Built in a delightful setting it is well worth a visit to the Cathedral. Peacocks roam in a garden outside, whilst inside there is a mystical, spiritual atmosphere. Originally built in the 11th century and then demolished on orders of Louis 14th, it has been...More

Well worth a day to explore the area and see this 11th century Cathedral that has been built/demolished/abandoned/rebuilt over the centuries. It sits on a small hill surrounded by ponds (ètangs) with pathways leading from Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone. Surrounded by vineyards, marshlands and the some quieter beaches....More

Great for history buffs, nice scenery, plenty of pay parking. Some folks walked in, others took the train. Interesting history and worth the trip. Cafe on site.
