This was a very well organized and safely run excursion. We were picked up on time by a driver at our hotel in Split and driven a half hour to the office in Omis. We had already paid half and we paid the balance in cash with no problems. We were driven in a van up the mountain with other people and introduced ourselves so we were with 3 Canadian couples and 1 British couple. Some had done it before in Whistler while there were also newbies like me. We walked a bit to the training area and went through the safety precautions as well as a short practice run. We then had to walk further up to the first zipline and I was stunned but surprisingly not as scared as I expected when I saw that we were 2000 feet above ground on the side of a mountain. I am pretty scared of heights but my wife really wanted to do this. They said the first zipline is the longest at 700 meters and you can go up to 60 km per hour. For anyone who is scared, you better go with the first guide or you'll be left there by yourself. You see the first guide go by himself for about 40 seconds and then you realize there really is no turning back. When it was my turn, I didn't relax and got stuck halfway and started gripping everything tight. My brake was on firmly and I was too far away to hear any yelling clearly. I eventually put pressure on the front and got to the end in about 2 minutes, about 3 times longer than anyone else. I got the hang of it by about the 4th zipline when I sat more upright like in a chair and had my elbows out. At the 6th zipline, you can go in tandem and even take a selfie. The 7th one you can stop halfway through, look at the river below, and then release the brake to continue on. I got nervous and just went all the way without stopping. I was relieved when I got through the 8th and last one. As scared as I was, the cables are completely safe, the guides are really helpful, and it was good to be in a group where everyone else is cheering you on regardless of their expertise. They have times at 9AM and 1PM and it takes almost 3 hours.
