Picked up a boat trip from one of the many being touted by the bridge. They all offer much the same . but you should haggle to get the best price .
You travel up the river canyon for about 40 mins , and disembark at a restaurant/ bar for about 30 mins . We found this to be enough time for us , check with your boatman how long you stop for, some were longer .
The canyon is a beautiful tranquil place, with awesome scenery . We saw turtles, and a lot of bird life .
You can drive a parallel road , but seeing the canyon from the water is special .

The location is nice but do not expect the Verdon gorges. I travel with a group boat. The skiper gives us no explanation. It is juzt taxiboat not a tour. The most impresive is the start. It brings you to restaurant close to the road. (Fortunatly restaurant is not bad and price do not use the situation (kind of monople..))

Fabulous crystal clear water. A pleasant boat journey along a beautiful river for 10 EU.
Take water and a packed lunch. The rest stop does not serve sandwiches, and caters mainly for Viking customers.

It is hard to describe beauty of nature, that is how amazed I am. Me and my boyfriend went to canyon by boat. Trip was 40 minute drive with amazing view all the time. And when you get there you can only say woow. Water is very clean, there are spots near coast where you can enter the river (water is pretty shallow, you can see bottom).

We rented a boat and went up the canyon on the river by ourselves. It was the equivalent of about $70 and easily worth it. The river is pretty, the water is cold and clear (we brought our snorkel stuff and took a few breaks to get in!) and the reward is a GREAT beer garden type place at the turn around point where you can dock your boat and sit outside and order great grilled meats and beer.

We were interested in having a boat trip down the canyon but were a little harassed by several boat owners, and we're not very impressed with the look of the crafts they expected us to get into nor the amount of people they were going to take.
We walked a little further towards the bridge and met Milan who has his own immaculate boat and was prepared to take only 4 of us.
He was very professional, we felt very safe and relaxed.
The trip was absolutely beautiful, a little stop before turning did great coffee, but the good looked great too.
Would only recommend Milan as he seemed the most professional

We decided to forgo the boat trip and drive along the river to Zadvarje. The road is fine but has quite a few tight hairpin bends. The views through the canyon are beautiful especially as the road was closed right alongside the river so we were diverted up the canyon sides over the top! When we got to Zadvarje we were rewarded with amazing views and then the most brilliant viewpoint of a waterfall. The 'road' to it is a tiny turn off that looks very run down but it's worth it! We had the whole place to ourselves (in England this would be totally commercialised)

I took the boat trip from Omis bridge for 300kn for my wife, two little boys, baby daughter and me; I bought the ticket from a travel agent, so I'm sure I paid a premium, but it was still good value for 2.5 hour trip for the family.
The boat trip is a slow amble 6km up the Cetina river, with gorgeous scenery, green, clear water and plenty of fish for our little boys to spot and point at. The restaurant at the end of the first leg is beautifully set under trees and the menu looked decent value. As we only had 30 mins (not the 90 mins advertised by the agent) for the stop, we opted for a jumbo pizza which was an impressive 80kn... It ended up feeding us for lunch and dinner!!
So, if you're a family staying on the Dalmatian coast and it's a hot day (30C today), then this is a perfect, inexpensive trip to take. We drove from Seget Donji (5 mins outside Trogir) and it took just under an hour to get there with gorgeous views of the coastline to keep the driver (me) and the passengers entertained.

Take a boat up the river - we were close to 17 hrs and hardly managed to get one as it was somewhat late in a day - so try earlier during the day. Some of the boats have shades, some not, so take care if the sun is strong. Ride takes some 40 minutes and you get through a canyon of Cetina river to Radmanove Mlinice, a restaurant at the end of the route. Only rafters can go down the river beyond that restaurant. Restaurant itself seems to close at 18.00 hrs as boats are not operating any more (site can be reached by road going through the canyon but it seems not many people do that . boat costs money but is much more pleasing. Greenery around the river, rocky canyon and beautiful green and cold water of river will make this trip quite a nice one. We had luck after all to be only passengers in the boat upstream so we could walk and take photos from different angles but normally 15 to 20 people would fit on the benches. Having a meal in Radmanove mlinice (or in another restaurant whose name escaped me and which is 10 minutes of boat ride closer to Omis) is also a very good idea.

Went on the boat trip up the river, lovely views and plenty of wildlife we went on a smaller boat as only four of us on it, it was pretty slow and for me it got a bit boring you get to a restaurant up the top of river we had 30 min ashore then returned. Would be better to hire your own boat wouldn’t do it again.

My family and I are interested in renting a boat on the Centina river.Do you remember the name of the company you rented the boat from?
Written October 24, 2019
Sorry, I do not know the name as we were a party of some 30 persons and the booking was pre-booked. All boats are run by the owners and I doubt that you would be permitted to rent and drive the boat yourself as you would not have a valid navigational licence. Thus your only choice to rent a small boat near the main bridge and be chauffeur driven and this way he will also be your tour guide. Check with the local tourist office as to the expected price you would expect to pay. Enjoy

I think you are referring to the former mill (now a restaurant) Radmanove Mlinice (Kanyon Rijeke Cetina Omis).

Hi,
I am planning to travel to Omis in September and would love to go for a tranquil boat ride. Can you please advise from where the boat can be hired, and how much did it cost?
Thank you very much for your time!
Written March 15, 2016
Hi
I would recommend that you get a private boat from the side of the river nearest the town. The other side provides tours and this is more expensive and often includes lunch. The private boats are not scheduled therefore they will go when you want or they will wait a few minutes to get a few more people to join. I cant remember how much it cost but I know it was very cheap as we shared with 4 other people. The boat owner will take you to a cafe/bar and will stop as long as group wishes. A very good experience and good value. Best wishes Tim
