About
In Eperon d'Or you discover the industrial history of the region. The imposing Art Deco building dates back to 1930, the factory to 1910. Today this old shoe factory is emerging as a real industrial heritage site. The famous brush and shoe industry are at the forefront, but there's also a lot of attention to the wide impact of industrialization on the city, the region and its inhabitants.

Interesting
Feb 2020
Beautiful museum containing an interesting exhibition of brushes and shoes in a historical international and local setting, taking in account the decline of manual work executed by home working families...due to industrialisation, automation and globalisation. Sober but informative setting.

Learn how they made brushes and shoes
Apr 2018 • Couples
There is free parking on the other side of the road. With the entrance fee you will get an audio-guide. Look very carefully, there are some numbers in the displays.
The upper level is not very much. It's mainly a room with tourist brochures of local cities.
There is a level with displays of different kind of brushes and a level with the history of handmade shoes. There are some specials items of Royal families.
In the back on the ground floor there are several movies explaining the development of making brushes and shoes.
It is a very informative museum.
