Wonderful surprise to find excellent snow cover of snow on all but lowest levels. Heavily used on bank holiday weekend end April/early may but but pistes groomed during day to provide best conditions possible. Restaurants busy and some closed by 14.30 hours. Considering heavy ski/snowboard...More

No regrets... Stubaier Gletscher is a great place for skiing and boarding, even in April & May. This year we got a lot of fresh snow. I will never go during christmas anymore. April / May is a better time of the year!

If you only have a limited time in the Alps, this is the place to come skiing. Check the weather...this is a place best enjoyed on a sunny day! The surrounding mountains are beautiful - be sure and go to the "Top of Tirol" viewing...More

Just back from a 3.5 days of skiing at Stubai: we are good skiers and really enjoyed the slopes! everything is top class, the new 3S gondola is very efficient and drives you to the slopes in less than 15 minutes. I want to add...More

Not at large as many of the famous places in the alps but the pistes here are really good and challenging.

This was my first trip to the alps, and it didn't disappoint. I also went to Axamer Lizum, which was nice but didn't compare to Stubai. The expansive trails, modern lifts, and amazing views all made this the best snowboarding of my life.

It's a very good skiing area, however gets really overcrowded sometimes. Nice ski slopes for beginners and kids also. Good cable cars, fun park; Ice cave right on the slope is one of sightseeings worth to visit. Life music, nice huts and restaurants. A disadvantage...More

This was a great first family ski holiday with a 6 and 8 year old. Plenty blue runs and beginner areas to ski. Took about an hour to get to via bus and lift from valley below. Very happy for a first trip to snow.

Even in spring with 20 degrees Celsius in the valley, the slopes were fine. Nice area with modern lift facilities and lots to choose.

Stubai opens for the winter season today. Check the conditions at your hotel before you travel up the mountain. Plan for winter conditions and dress accordingly.

I think you should be able, but we found that sometimes the cave is closed and we didn't found out why. I think they close on weather conditions but I'm not sure. The weather should be fine in September anyway.
