Fast comfortable lift to a dramatic view from the viewing platform. We visited after fresh snow which made everything more dramatic. Ice cave was good as we're refreshments in the snow and sunshine.

We had fabulous views from the top of the ice capped mountain. The cable offers you great views on the way up as well as down.

Pick a good clear day to visit the Stubai Glacier, and you'll see for miles, right into Italy and across to the Otz valley. To get the best view take the 2nd stage cable car up to the Schaufeljoch at 3,210 metres. Then climb up...More

Take the cable car and then walk up to the mountaintop platform at 3210 metres for fantastic views. It's a bit of a climb but I'm 66 with bad knees and I managed it. Well worth the climb for the views of 109 mountain summits. I...More

Nice to go so high in the alps, but from the gletscher itself is not so much to see. Possibility to make a nice walk on top. Cable lift is for free with the subaiercard.

We took the bus to the bottom of the Eisgrat lift and got tickets all the way to the top. We were planning to walk down the glacier but were discouraged from doing so by the cashier at the bottom, advising we would need crampons....More

Went there early in the morning in July when the weather was good. The view is beautiful on top. With good equipments, can walk on snow and ice or without, can walk from the previous stop cabin car.

Our family stopped at the Ice Cave and did the tour. Apparently we were the first of the day and we had the place to ourselves. Adults and children alike thoroughly enjoyed the exhibit. The lady at the ticket counter was especially sweet.

Stubai opens for the winter season today. Check the conditions at your hotel before you travel up the mountain. Plan for winter conditions and dress accordingly.

I think you should be able, but we found that sometimes the cave is closed and we didn't found out why. I think they close on weather conditions but I'm not sure. The weather should be fine in September anyway.
