I signed up for a tour here because I really wanted to see a farm that was all about coffee - not including chocolate or sugar as some other tours in town. I was not disappointed! The tour lasted about 3 hours and our guide really took the time to educate us on how coffee is produced from the inception... More

This was a great way to see a small plantation. We were picked up at our hotel by the cafe monteverde folks, and we and 8 others enjoyed a small tour of the plantation that concluded with tasting many of the varieties of coffees that they had on offer. We also got to taste the coffee beans before they are... More

My two sons and I booked a tour at the Center in Monteverde next to the CASEM and the WholeFoods. We were picked up where we were staying and driven to the farm outside of Santa Elena. Our visit was very informative and enjoyable. The tour took about two hours as we walked around the farm with one of the... More

First the tour guide was an adorable boy. The place itself was really small. Tour guide was a bit unlogical in his speak but the coffee was delicious. I think that $ 30 is expensive for this tour, so maybe try the doka tree in one tour.

We had a spare afternoon to kill in Monteverde and were keep to do a coffee tour. Our guide here was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the coffee process and gave a very informative tour. We walked round the plantation itself, including the nursery, saw the workers looking after the plants, the picking and roasting process as well as trying... More

We enjoyed learning about coffee and chocolate. Our guide was great and entertaining and knowable. We got to make chocolate and tastes some wonderful things while on this tour. Good way to spend an afternoon.

We were extremely lucky and got a private tour by Sergio from the plantation. It completely exceeded our expectations....he was very knowledgeable and has a very personal, informal approach. You might run into the owner and other workers and you can ask them questions, sample a brew with the staff....and the grounds are stunning. We walked away with packets of... More

The Co owner of the farm did the introduction that was really interesting and then a guide who learn English did the tour. As he did not master the language, we did not get enough information... that's a shame because there is a lot to say about ! The tasting was fun and good. Very sustainable farm.

We loved this coffee tour! Felix, our guide, was super knowledgeable and friendly and made us feel at home on the community farm! The coffee is also fantastic! Highly recommend.
