This is a walking 2 hour tour over hill and dale but not difficult to do. Our guide, Jairo, was exceptional. He explained the entire coffee process and we learned what gives coffee its caffeine! We tasted roasted coffee beans! We tasted freshly brewed coffee here! You will come away with such a knowledge of the coffee industry. The tour... More

You can see how coffee is grown from the beginning to the way to the end-user. Good possibility of tasting very delicious locale chocolate too. Perfect organization of the tour.

Daniel gave us a tour and we were so happy that we were the only two - he took his time showing us all the wonderful things they do for the community. We learned so much about the area, the climate, challenges faced, and what their doing to sustain. We buy our coffee in Austin who does Fair Trade with... More

The tour started with fresh fruit and an overview of the history of the farm. Our guide was knowledgable and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised that this was a whole-farm tour. We got to see and learn about chickens, goats, pigs, banana trees, vegetable and herb gardeners, and more. We also saw a number of cool technological innovations, including a... More

My husband and I visited this coffee farm in San Luis, about a half hour ride from Santa Elena. Our tour guide was very personable. Half the tour involved his showing us how they have made their farm a sustainable operation-using goats, fish, and pigs for fertilizer. The pigs are also used for methane gas. We toured the vegetable garden... More

I decided to go for this tour as this sounded like a much more intimate small group experince compared to the big tours. I dislike big groups as often there are one or two smart or too inquisitive ones who ruin other people's experinces. We had ten people in our group. Costs 30 Dollars per head. They will pick you... We went on this tour because we really love coffee and are also interested in agriculture. I'm not sure if someone would enjoy the tour if they aren't big coffee drinkers as it's very detailed. The guide was very passionate and knowledgeable. The coffee tasting at the end of the tour was very nice to enjoy the different types of... More

We had a great time visiting this coffee plantation. The kids didn't want to go thought it was going to be boring, but it was so educating and they explained so much of what they do to help the environment that my kids were impressed and really loved the tour. Tasted some great coffee and ended up buying some. Can't... More
