This was the highlight of our trip to Costa Rica. The scenery is great but the thrill of these zip lines cannot be described until you do it. our kids were scared initially but after the 1st one they loved it.

We went for the sky walk, trek & tram. Daniel was our guide for the walk; he is an amazing guide, he's very knowledgeable about the plants, trees, animals and birds. The best part of the walk was seeing the howler monkeys above the last...More

Sky Adventure provides an excellent way to enjoy the Monteverde cloud forest! We booked the sky walk (think hanging bridges suspended 200+ feet about the forest) with guide, the sky tram (tram up the mountain) and the sky trek (nine zip-lines down the mountain) tours...More

My husband and I have ziplined before in Mexico but this was way better. I didn't think my previous ziplining experience was negative, but Sky Trek is nice. What we really appreciated is that you don't have to brake yourself on the line, which we...More

Yes, it is safe as long as adults in your group keep an eye on the child. The Sky Walk includes walking on well marked trails and several hanging/suspension bridges which have side rails. The hanging bridges may shake a... More

IMHO Sky Treck…the reason of my opinion is based mostly…because I like the Volcano and lake views from the Sky Treck Location….not based at all in who is better! roadadvsior

Sky Walk - Sky Aventures or another activity? (8 Replies)
My boyfriend and I plan to hike through the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. I know there is a hanging bridge within the reserve but was wondering if anyone would suggest also doing the Sky Adventures Sky Walk Tour to walk across more hanging bridges? Or, are there other activities you would recommend we do on our full day in Monteverde instead? Such as, coffee tour, bat jungle, etc.? Would love any insight/suggestions! Thanks!

The hanging bridges are at Selvatura Park and they are very nice. I highly recommend the Bat Jungle but this takes perhaps an hour and it's best late in the day during feeding time; this is usually between 4 and 5. It's worth stopping by there or sending an e mail beforehand to make sure then. They do reply if you send a message. You don't say how long you'll be in Monteverde. Hopefully this is for more than one day.

Skywalk in the pm? (Thats how it comes in the combo) (4 Replies)
Hi everyone (and thanks in advance). I've read a bunch of forum posts where people say do the hanging bridges in the morning because you will see more wildlife. However, if you do the Sky Adventures SkyTrek and Skywalk combo package, they do the zipline first, followed by the skywalk at about 12:30. They say its fine (of course) but does anyone have an opinion on this or have done it. I'd do them separately (or do the hanging bridges somewhere else) if its really a better way to go Thanks!!

Most people don't do the hanging bridges there; they do the original hanging bridges in the area - now named Mistico. We did ziplining and hanging bridges as separate events. I'd only do them together if you want that convenience, otherwise I'd do an a.m. trip to Mistico. You're more likely to see wildlife in the a.m. Our guide found howlers, toucan, and beautiful honeycreepers for us.
