Set in a location that provides consistent waves and easy access for travelers, Aloha Sun Surf School is the longest running surf school in Unawatuna, Sri lanka. We teach, coach and challenge everyone from novice to advanced surfers. Our staff is made up of true watermen that will help you take your ability and knowledge to the next level. Our belief in the entire experience elevates our commitment to service. Our goal is not just to get you to stand up on a surfboard, but rather to walk away with a deeper understanding of the sport, new skills and a smile on your face.

First and superb Surf session for me.
The trainer is super nice, thanks to these skills I was able to stand up quickly and make the most of the 1h30 of training.
My partner was able to wait for me while sipping cocktails on a deckchair because they also serve drinks.
I keep a very good memory.

Randy is kind, supportive, and a good teacher. I travelled to Sri Lanka during a global pandemic to satisfy a life long desire to learn how surf. This month I had many lessons from Randy and he taught me how to surf the waves at Unawatuna with minimal fustration and maximum success. He knows very well how to surf these waters, and choses appropriate times and locations for safety and enjoyment. I can now surf on my own under different wave conditions. Thanks Randy.

I found this school through the Internet and I love it. Me and my friend took a 2 hours surfing lesson with the owner of this school but we ended up having longer lesson, because he let us join other group of surfers so finally we surfed for about 2,5 hours and everything was great and very professional. Contact with this school was also very good and I received any messages from it right away. The Dewata Beach where we surfed is good for the beginners due to small waves:) I highly recommend this school 🤙

We had an absolute blast at Aloha Sun Surf School. My wife and I were first time surfers and the sea was very rough due to unseasonal rain. Despite that both our instructors were extremely patient. They first taught us the basics on land and then spent the next two hours with us within the water making sure that we learn to ride the waves however rough they may be. i unfortunately do not remember their names! Would 100% recommend!

I am a 49 years old and I have wanted to learn to Surf all my life, I tried twice before and it was a disaster. This was my last attempt and Randy my Aloha Surf teacher got me standing within 1 hour.
By the end of my 3 days I was catching and riding waves unassisted.

My friends booked a surf lesson with Randika after hearing great things- he did not disappoint. Informative & to the point surf lesson, where we all felt safe in the water. All my friends stood up on their very first lesson. Would highly reccomend.

Great surf school with a great teacher. We are very glad that we started studying here. We had a group of 4 people. Each subsequent lesson was given a discount. The school was far from hotels and a transfer was organized at an affordable price.

Everything was like I expect. ❤️☺️ Nice teachers, little bit stretching before, they explain you all necessary things at the beach and they will help you with the timing in the water. If you catch your first wave, you will see :)) After surfing you have to try their drinks and you must be satisfied. Awesome, awesome, awesome!)))

I took a few surf lessons with my friends and absolutely loved it. It is a great beach for beginners like myself. I have surfed a few times before in Australia where it isn't always that easy. But after my lessons, I felt confident to go surfing together with my friends at other beaches as well. Our surf instructor was absolutely marvelous, highly skilled and so easy going and fun. A big shout out to everyone who works at Aloha Sun Surf School we had so much fun there and you guys were lovely.

We were in Sri Lanka end of 2021, beginning of 2022 and took two days of surf school @ Aloha Sun Surf. We were with five people and we had a very pleasant introduction to the world of surfing. The two teachers were very helpful, friendly and really nice to talk to. The beach and waves are ideal to learn to surf.
We had two lessons, 1.5 hour/lesson and time flew by. Also, for people who do not want to surf, there is a very nice bar where you can sit, enjoy and drink a good coffee, cappucino or mixed juice.
If you are planning a trip to Sri Lanka and you want to get to know the world of surfing, this is absolutely a must thing to do.
