A great experience. Water is a bit deep after a little walk into the ocean,so be careful especially with little ones. My little one had a great time. We just sat on the shore. tides were a bit high so that was enough for her to love the experience. The road leading to the beach is very narrow so it is better to come by bike or by a taxi. There are only a few shacks on the beach cost. Went to one and they said it's closed. Could not believe that since it was just 5pm. Beach head an excellent view too. It has some coral reef in front of the beach. You could see some corals on the beach coast too.

We did the jungle beach snorkeling trip with Darshana. We were the only ones on the boat which was great. Swam around for a couple of hours and saw some great fish and some coral. The water is not so clear but we were still able to see some really beautiful fish. Darshana said that the coral is still regenerating after the damage it sustained from the tsunami years ago. He also mentioned that on the weekends the locals companies/ divers and him collect rubbish and litter form the ocean - very nice to know. Highly recommend booking with him!

A maximum of one night. The beach is dirty from the ship's oil. The boats sail everywhere, and there's not much to swim in the sea. Prices are higher than elsewhere. Prices of the hotel and meals also. Positive is the only diving.

Dharshana took us to jungle beach and the dive was amazing. We were lucky to go on a sunny day wen the sea was calm and kind to us. It was our first time, so we took a while to adjust but Dharshana was patient with us.He is the man, if you want to go snorkeling in unawatuna.

We booked a day tour from Unawatuna with Darshana to visit Udawalawe Nationalpark and it was the best decision we could have made. He is a very friendly person who speaks English very well. He told us a lot about the life in Sri Lanka and he even showed us a lovely little place by the beach on the way back. We later also booked him to go to Colombo. He is very reliable and really makes an effort - Thank you for the great time we had in your country! All the best, "family from Austria"
