The boat ride was long to the falls which was main objective but the African Queen did not take us close enough to really see the falls. We did see some hippopotamus, crocodile one elephant but I would have like some commentary by the guide pointing out animals etc.. boat crowded loud and more party like than animal observers. No guidelines for participants for proper curtesy to others given.

Rather boring and long boat trip for a very distant view of the falls. With current high water levels boats can’t get close. Furthermore, the wildlife viewing is very limited. Except the usual hippos, crocs and birds there seems to be very limited action on the steep shores. Might again be due to the high water, but still.

Waste of $32 dollars; opt for game drives and a visit to the falls viewpoint instead.

Absolutely breathtaking! The waterfall cruise in Murchison, Uganda, was an unforgettable experience. The stunning scenery, combined with the diverse wildlife, made every moment magical. Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, enhancing the trip with fascinating stories. The boat was comfortable, and we felt safe throughout the journey. Highly recommend this adventure for nature lovers!

We had a boat trip to the bottom of the falls. We could hear a thunderous sound from far with seemingly smog in the sky. A hike to the bottom of the falls made our trip unforgettable as we clearly witnessed the river waters plunging 45 ft down making a loud sound compared to thunder!

The violent water fall tend to lower down in dry season.
Worldly know as the world's most powerful Water fall, in the Uganda's largest National Park. The Nile & its Delta hosts thousands of wildlife Including Nile. Clocodile , Hopos, Elephants, Buffalo, Birds,
The Boat cruise and hike through the Rocky to top of the falls is gorgeous.
Lodges in and around the park are price friendly $50_600. Murchison River Lodge is my favorite because of it's excellent services and location on the cool Nile as it slopes towards the Delta.
You can access it through Kacumbanyobo - Masindo gate or Hoima Bulisa Road. The second route requires no park entry.
MFNP has a rich historical background , from evolution . The first Ugandan (cheezi) lived on The colonised Budongo Forest.
The park lies in the Albertin Rift and Congo basin where our great ancestets still live
(Bonobos-congo, Chpanzees, Gorilla- Bwindi)
The park entry is $40 FNR, $30 Boat cruise.
The best time to visit this park is early dry season.

When I made this Cruse , I thought not to be good, but I became very happy when we found My 2 Bird lifers including Egyptian plover, and Rock platincole.

Enjoy the animals on banks of the Nile especially the basking crocodiles, monitorLizards and countless bird species viewed disappearing
in holes drilled on cliffs
The brief poses on schools of hippos with brief details from on board guide was really interesting
Along the cruise we took photos with nice backgrounds dominated by the final moments a few meters at the bottom of the falls
Clips were taken for memories as the water roared through the Rocks
Historically & forever shall this remain the world's strongest waterfall #murchison

This was a wonderful way to spend the late afternoon. Recommended to stay on the left side of the boat but we did see animals on both sides of the bank. The captain of our small boat gave us an extra long trip, returning us to our lodge instead of the boat launch. He also provided interesting snacks on board.

Great boat trip. Informative staff. You can see so much: hippos, crocks, elephants, antelope, kingfishers, eagles, weaver birds, baboons, giraffes......and then the falls!

Incredibly peaceful relaxing trip, lots of helpful information from the boat team. However the winning vote comes for the bar - where better to drink a Nike beer.

We did a boat ride on Jan 30th, just the two of us with the driver/guide early in the morning, with perfect sun light, and no one else on the river at the time.
We saw from close hippos, crocs, birds, and some elephants from a distance. And of course the falls…..
And then the hike from a safe landing up to the falls. Magic.

Highly recommended.
