The whole crew at Pura Vida ride were fantastic and gracious! Dennis, my guide, was awesome! The trails are well marked, but I strongly recommend using a guide for the first ride. Dennis was able to expertly show the right lines on the switchbacks and guide us to the scenic overlooks!
I am a fairly experienced rider, but badly out of shape. The trails are not overly technical, but the climbs do require strong legs and good stamina. Beginner friendly if you have good fitness.
Last tip, riding gloves are a must. Had to ease up on flowy descents because my sweaty palms kept slipping off grips. Bring your own, or buy a pair in their very well stocked shop.
Lastly, if you are experienced rider, shop has night rides on Thursdays!

Rubén’s tour was quite great, me and my boyfriend really enjoyed the time with him in the Kayak. It was a different experience, we had so much fun with Ruben, he explained about the islands and the animals in the ocean whether they were there or not. We all made jokes and laughed a lot. Throughout the journey he took photos and videos so he could make a video for us to keep the memory. I am so thankful to him for absolutely everything.

Great tours, I did paddleboard and snokerl and both were Amazing. Tony taught me paddleboard and did a great job, took photos for me and loved it so much.
Rubén took me snorkel and was terrific, we saw sea turtles, so may fish of so many colors, I didn’t want the tour to finish.

We had an amazing first guided mountain bike experience with Andrey at Pura Vida Ride in Las Catalinas. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the course and the recent rain conditions, prioritizing our safety at every turn. Andrey tailored the ride to suit our skill levels, ensuring we both had a great time. Our only regret is not booking another ride earlier in the week so we could ride again before we had to leave to go home!

I & my wife took an SUP lesson with Ruben as our instructor. He has an easygoing yet professional demeanor and was very patient with us SUP newbies. He was even willing to tow our boards when we were struggling with the offshore wind. Overall we enjoyed the experience and would recommend getting an SUP lesson with him if you're new to the sport. ¡Pura vida!

Ema did an excellent job guiding our group and keeping a group of 6 together with varying skill levels across intermediate trails. Beautiful views. Try to go early in the AM before it gets too hot.

I had two great experiences with Pura Vida Ride. First, my husband and I rented a two person kayak. Staff were helpful and friendly, assessing our level of experience and giving us the added information and support we needed to safely enter the bay and get back to shore without capsizing in the surf.
I also had an excellent experience with Anthony Hernandez as my guide on my first SUP excursion. Anthony gave me the support and confidence to stand up and enjoy the ride. He also took some great photos and video and added on some snorkeling when he learned that I really enjoy doing that. Although I'm a strong swimmer my one suggestion is that, as a matter of safety, I think that I should have been required/requested to wear a life vest.

Incredible views and the trails were a blast to ride! As a regular mountain biker, Andrey was a fantastic guide who kept a steady pace that pushed me in the best way possible.
The bike selection had me ogling with all sorts of available options to choose from. Thank you for a wonderful experience!!

My friends and I, 6 total, rented bikes for a 2.5 hr ride. Most of the group lasted only the first 45 minutes, it was very hot and the trails were more difficult than anticipated. This was not Pura Vida’s fault. I continued for the 2.5 hours. The trails are all very good. Challenging, with a very good variety of terrain and some amazing views. The tour guide Andrey was great..very friendly and a very strong rider. The only negative was the guy running the shop, I think his name was Jacob, mid 40’s with a beard. The guy has no personality and no sense of customer service. He did not greet us when we arrived and did not ask how we liked the ride when we were done. Basically was indifferent to our presence.

Highly recommend it to start your day!! My girlfriend and I did the kayak/snorkeling tour with Ruben and we had a great time!
We first did a kayak tour around the Pitahaya Island before going to Playa Dantito where we parked the kayaks to do some snorkeling. We saw various fish (blowfish and others for which I don't know the name:P) as well as some starfish! After the snorkeling we returned to Playa Danto with the kayaks. All in all an amazing experience enabled by Ruben who was really nice, knowledgable and helpful :) We will definitely be back!
