We (2 couples) rented the e-mountain bikes for 3 hours at a whopping $180 per bike. The experience might have been worth it except for 3 of 4 had painful crashes and 1 ending up having to pay for costly repairs. And to add salt on the wound, everywhere we went in Las Catalina’s for remainder of vacation we were known as the tourists who damaged a bike. No one expressed concern for our bloodied conditions upon return from the ride. Apparently Pura Vida does not include compassion. Be very careful on the e-bike if you are inexperienced!

The whole crew at Pura Vida ride were fantastic and gracious! Dennis, my guide, was awesome! The trails are well marked, but I strongly recommend using a guide for the first ride. Dennis was able to expertly show the right lines on the switchbacks and guide us to the scenic overlooks! I am a fairly experienced rider, but badly out of shape. The trails are not overly technical, but the climbs do require strong legs and good stamina. Beginner friendly if you have good fitness. Last tip, riding gloves are a must. Had to ease up on flowy descents because my sweaty palms kept slipping off grips. Bring your own, or buy a pair in their very well stocked shop. Lastly, if you are experienced rider, shop has night rides on Thursdays!

Highly recommend it to start your day!! My girlfriend and I did the kayak/snorkeling tour with Ruben and we had a great time! We first did a kayak tour around the Pitahaya Island before going to Playa Dantito where we parked the kayaks to do some snorkeling. We saw various fish (blowfish and others for which I don't know the name:P) as well as some starfish! After the snorkeling we returned to Playa Danto with the kayaks. All in all an amazing experience enabled by Ruben who was really nice, knowledgable and helpful :) We will definitely be back!

Amazing full suspension bikes and great service! The trails were fun and provided spectacular views. Go EARLY as it gets very hot by 9:30. Plan to stay in this town for a late breakfast.

My boyfriend did the guided mountain bike ride with Dennis who was patient and great to get to know. He rode the Ibis full suspension which was new. The staff were friendly and helpful and the shop was top notch. The trail was in good shape, dry with some climbing. He would recommend going in the morning since the heat is intense. We enjoyed the restaurant, La Lemonada which is beside the shop. The beach is gorgeous and the people are the best!
