Played in a six on probably the hottest day of the year. One of our crew dropped out after 4 holes due to the heat. Nice course with huge greens, but we only played the front nine. Older guy in the pro shop not very helpful, but the younger guy was. Advise playing after 4pm if only playing 9 as it is cheaper, but not mentioned by the older guy..! Lovely golf course, well maintained in a prime location. Will be back to play the back 9 one day!

Stayed at Millbrook in the early New Year and played most of the local courses there (Millbrook - all 27 holes, Jacks Point, Arrowtown). Headed through the Kawarau Gorge for the day to play Cromwell GC. Fantastic track, great practice facilities, and a very interesting design. Also beautifully groomed, with the best greens of all the courses mentioned above. Very friendly and helpful staff and members too. Well worth a visit, and a terrific addition to any Queenstown/Arrowtown golfing sojourn.

Thanks for the feedback, it's a real credit to the greenkeepers, the management and the various volunteers that support the club. We are very proud of our links style track and getting comments like this from people who have played other local courses is much appreciated. it's featuring on more visitor "to do" lists. Cheers

Very friendly club pro. Organized 18 holes for me solo and Imuswd new Cobra graphite clubs. It is a good walk, lovely scenery and challenging because of the winds and the links-like greens. Only a couple of little bunkers and nomwater hazards, he course is quite long and needs reasonably straight hitting -,or else. Well worth a visit.

Hi Alan Thanks for coming by and playing at Cromwell. You are so right, you need to stay on "the short stuff" as like all good links courses if you stray you will often be left with a sandy tight lie. If you really want a challenge play off the black tees, the longest and most challenging on our course. With five different tee offerings Cromwell is playable at any level too! Cheers

Camping holiday and men went to play 18 holes of golf. Course easy to find and handy location. Members made us feel very welcome, and interested to stop and chat to find out why we had visited their course.

Played many Doz courses all over NZ... recently all the Queenstown courses (outside the hills) and really enjoyed the cromwell links course(was a relaxed change from the more park like resort courses) ..played end of the day during a winter August and it was brilliant conditions , no hold ups , challenging but an easy 3hr round ...only hole that needed upgraded would be the 6th be good to see couple large bunkers fringed by many toitoi to the left of the fairway ... I agree the price should be lower >> otherwise a must play for any golf fanatic

Thanks for the feedback and I'm delighted you enjoyed the course. We are lucky to have an 18 hole challenge playable all year round so despite the occasional frost delay we are usually always open. Equally, unlike some of the courses around us we get a good amount of winter sun which certainly helps later in the afternoons! Being a sandy based links style course even after a decent downpour the course drains well too so very few elements can turn players away. The sixth, stroke 9 dog leg left does catch many players out with trees set to both sides of the fairway and a decent natural sandy patch right on the corner but feedback for our course conveners and green keepers is always appreciated. As for cost, it's always a challenge to maintain the quality we do with the budget we have and income we get from green fee players and members alike. We like to think we present a fair market rate for the region and I'm pleased you had fun!

Well kept country course which seems to be benefitting from the surge in golf tourism without being resort course expensive.
Not too tight nor challenging so an enjoyable days golf can be had by players of most handicaps - our group ranged from 11-30 and it suited all

Thanks Highlander We have been working hard to raise our profile as a club without making it overly expensive. Credit has to go to our green keeping staff, management and our Pro for their dedication and commitment to offering a great course and service. As a country club many are amazed by the quality and play-ability so pass the good word on! Come back soon! Cheers

Thanks BurgerQueen I'ts one of those courses you can enjoy walking without too many hills so well done you for supporting your husband. You husband needs to come back and play the full 18 sometime so he gets a real feel for the course as the two nines are quite different. Thanks for dropping in and enjoy your road trip! Cheers

We were lucky to come on a stunning Monday morning for our golf session at the Cromwell Golf course and had the best time making our way through the whole course. The relaxed environment, great equipment for hire and awesome staff were just spot on!

Hi Robin Thanks for the feedback it's great to hear you enjoyed the course and we looked after you well. The balance between being a quality championship course and offering the feeling of a country club is always challenging and it's good to hear we are achieving this. Our pro Willie Moore is continuing to enhance his shop and club hire offerings to so spread the word! Cheers
