We had a fabulous experience on our recent flight with Heliview. It was touch and go for a few days due to unfavourable weather conditions and even on the day of the flight morning cloud was slow lifting. Jolande kept in touch at all times with excellent communication. Conditions were still not perfect therefore we were unable to have our fondue experience at the top of the mountain in the snow as planned however we did have an incredible flight with Richard who had fantastic knowledge of the area. We were able to land in snow, enjoy our delicious hot chocolate and the kids had time for a quick play in the snow. We felt very safe at all times and got to enjoy our fondue later in the day. To top the whole experience we had great photos and a video of the whole experience. We all absolutely loved the experience and cannot wait to do it again next time we are in the area. Thank you Helivew flights, it was such a memorable experience!

Thank you so much for including us in your recent Central Otago must do holiday activities. It was a great working with you to optimise the best weather window for your flight during your stay, even though it wasn't good enough for having the fondue itself on the mountain. But glad to hear your loved the hot chocolates in the snow instead followed by the fondue later that evening :).

On holiday from the UK, this was a Christmas present from my wife, who is a nervous flyer. However, the whole experience soon settled her down and she then thoroughly enjoyed the flight. Landing on a remote mountain top with views to die for was awesome. Thoroughly recommend this trip as you can see New Zealand from a different perspective. Jolanda gives you a friendly welcome and Richard’s piloting skills make you feel very safe and the flight is very informative. If you want top off your New Zealand holiday, give this a go, you won’t be disappointed!

From start to finish this was just an incredible experience. A wonderful family run operation Jolanda and Richard are both extremely welcoming. The flight itself had my partner Yen and I smiling from ear to ear. Being able to see the rugged South Island landscape via Helicopter is an unforgettable memory. We can't recommend this experience enough. After extensive research we found this to be the best value helicopter experience around Queenstown and the drive to Cromwell was awesome too.

Along with our friends we had an awesome Heliview experience. Jolanda and Richard were very friendly and communicated with us before our trip really well. We had to postpone our trip to the following day due to weather and even then the cloud came over and delayed it for an hour or so. Jolanda recommended we went for a coffee at Old Cromwell, which was great, and return an hour later. By the time we arrived back the weather had cleared and we were able to get up in the air. Richard was very professional and gave a great commentary of the history and local Cromwell area. The helicopter is really smooth and comfortable. We landed in the snow on top of the Pisa Ranges with absolutely amazing views all around and had plenty of time for photos and a mess around in the snow. The flight down was equally beautiful. A GoPro video of our flight was offered which was a great extra. I would thoroughly recommend Heliview and I hope I can get back down again for a HeliBike trip......the mountain bike trails in the area look awesome! Thanks Jolanda and Richard for a fantastic experience. Stuart and Sam West.

Our trip was arranged by our Kiwi friends when we visited them from the UK. An old phrase, but it really was the trip of a lifetime although we have visited NZ on previous occasions. Everybody was so welcoming and informative and prepared us well for the flight. What can we say about our pilot Richard. Top gun !! Knew every inch of the terrain so you didn't miss a thing, the helicopter is a superb machine handled by an obvious expert. A recording of the flight is given to you on a Memory Stick afterwards and will give us wonderful memories for many years. This is a 'must do' if you visit New Plymouth.

This flight was a birthday gift for my son and his Poppa. Richard and Yolanda did a great job of putting this all together. They even got the nice weather lined up. Mountain was a bit cloudy at the very top which meant they didn't quite see the summit but it did not detract from the whole experience. We purchased the video of the flight so Jacob could share the trip with us - was a great souvenir. My son can't wait for his next flight. Many Thanks.

We booked this trip as a spur of the moment thing as a surprise trip with friends for a shared wedding anniversary. We are so please we did. We have done helicopters all over the world but I have to say that the Central Otago scenery is right up there with the best! Jolanda & Richard are very professional and we felt welcome and very comfortable travelling with them. Thanks so much for the wonderful experience (and the surprise refreshments!) Have already spread the word for others at work to try it out.

If you are hiring a car, it is very easy to find helliview. It will however take you about 1 hour to drive to Cromwell. Its a stunning drive.
