Great trail in great surroundings.

Good trail to keep children interested looking for Wildcats dotted around the village, whilst enjoying great scenery and fantastic landscape.

A great way to discover more about the area. Find the Wildcats and bring some money to the area. Excellent fun.

This is a good 11k walk around the outskirts of Newtonmore, taking in the coffin road, and some great spots along the Spey and Calder, only one field with cows in so that was a bonus and the walk starts from Newtonmore, it may be a bit boggy in places but it is a lot of farm land so that... More

Although we did not do the whole wildcat trail, we certainly did most of it. The trouble is that the area has many interesting diversions so it is difficult to stick to the programme. Wildcats are to be found all over Newtonmore and it is always fun to find a new one.

We had a grea time seeking out all the different cats all around town. Everyone put a lot of thought and artistic creativity into each one.

On our day off from touring Scotland we went scouting for Cats. Our hotel was in the village ( Highland Hotel ) so a casual walk really having to look for cats. Not real ones, Beautiful decorated cats. Not being able to walk very far we found 6 and there's over a 100. A shop in the village tells you... More

Basically you get a really good walk ( or several if you split it up a bit) with the added fun of spotting the Wildcats, it's a good laugh even without kids. We've been the walks plenty times and still keep finding new cats. Some are pretty cool , the skeleton one beside the osteopaths is a favourite. You don't... More
