The views are amazing from the viewpoint you can see along the beautiful river Wye and watch people canoeing. It is home to peregrines and other wonderful wildlife.Lots of pleasant walks and a lovely cafe.

It is quite an effort to get to the view point car park at Symonds Yat. BE WARNED if you just want to see the view there is only one charge for the car park - £3.50 for the day (even if you only want 15 minutes). I find that unacceptable.

Visited expecting a place for a walk along the river but instead felt like we had intruded a caravan park. Very commercialised with tacky & dated arcade blaring music. Went on the boat ride as there was nothing else to do, it was ok but didn't really see much other than trees & riverbank. Left feeling confused as to why... More

The hangover after a boozy Blackpool night out is the best way I can describe it. The arcade looks like a small Blackpool one and just cheapens the place, it's the first thing you see when you walk from your car and it's just awful, really sets the tone for the place. After that it actually gets better but not... More

There is no Leisure Park here to speak of. There is a run down Arcade, dirty looking and poorly run. A row of derelict shop/cafe units take up the whole one side of the walkway to the River Cruises and this totally lets down the feel of the place. The River Criuse is great though, and the Coffee shop and... More

We visited the leisure park on a day trip to the forest of dean, parking was reasonable but the leisure park is very dated. the amusement arcade was empty, the sweet shop had obviously not sold many sweets for a long time so they were very sticky and soft. the coffee and ice cream stand was lovely and we had... We have just had a great time camping in the Forest of Dean @ Bracelands campsite and visited the Yat a few times and had many forest walks.

This area of the Wye Valley is stunning, not for the faint hearted as some of the walks are quite challenging, but there is so much to do and see. If you like your water sports there is lots to choose from, great places to eat, and lots of activities for all the family. A must to stay for a... More

The young female staff were inexperienced and rude! The whole site is disorganised. The staff tried to purposely overcharge us. Despite a noise bond the noise at night went on until 3am without repercussions for the party involved. There were only 4 working toilets (a few others were opened later in our stay but had no lights, no water to... More
