Enjoyed this jail-turned-museum very much. Friendly and enthusiastic attendants gave fine directions into a small but extensive display of all things Spanish on the high seas. Particularly enjoyed the Spanish version of events concerning the 1588 Armada, set to capture Great Britain. I thought WE...More

A big and interesting collection and the display about the Spanish Armada is particularly good. However there is almost no signage in English which meant most tourists went around quite quickly.

Very many good ship models. At the time of our visit there was a special exhibit of the British attack on Ferrol in 1800. This was beaten off by the Spanish and they are justifiably proud of their success. The exhibits are varied and include...More

Large naval museum within easy walking distance of the picturesque harbour. Entry is free, and although the shipbuilding museum next door does charge, it's a very reasonable 2 euros for an adult. Most of the information is in Spanish, and where there is an English...More

There is an underground car park in the centre of town that I recall seeing and a free car park off the Av De Reo, see Google maps.
