    Great venue
Parked in the port and took the glass lift right up to the back of the market area, unfortunately we were too late for the fish market ( wanted some for the BBQ), but then tried the tapas bars. After trying to fathom out the system of ordering (you are given a gadget that lights up when your food is ready), and choosing your food you have to pay at each particular bar/stall. Great choice of delicious tapas and drinks are very reasonable. It is a very popular and busy venue, lots of locals and tourists alike, all soaking up the atmosphere, well worth a visit.

Visit special food and wine market in Mahon
This is an amazing place to taste sensational food freshly prepared and wines from Menorca. A historic building in the centre of Mahon is a gastronomic delight. A map at the entrance assists to choose the types of food such as freshly prepared local dishes, tapas, pinchos, shellfish, . Local beer and wine is available by the glass. The original fish market that was housed in all the building is now on the other side of the food hall. A must visit.

    Foody heaven!
We ate lunch here right at the start of our trip, and regretted running out of time before we could return. It's quite an experience: very lively and popular with locals and tourists; a wide range of local food and wine. Not to be missed!

    Tasty tapas
The tapas may not be the best in Spain, as they were heated in a microwave, but the look and feel of the market makes up for any shortfall in the quality of the food. Reasonably priced - we paid €25 for five tapas and received a free croquette. Worth a visit.

Awesome selection of Tapas and Pinchos
What a fantastic food court. So many tapas and pinchos on offer. All at reasonable prices. Gets super busy, but that’s to be expected when choice and food is so good. No waiting staff. Just place your order and pay. Then wait till your buzzer goes off for you to collect.

Unfortunately cannot recommend this place for a number of reasons. Far too busy and crowded with tourists barging each other out the way to get to the counters. The food itself is mediocre, overpriced and really just average at best. The prices charged for drinks are also extortionate. Lack of seating - many people buying food and then having nowhere to sit and eat. Lots of wasps also at this location making the dining experience unpleasant. Food is all pre-cooked and then just microwaved - really nothing special I wouldn't bother going and would not return.

Interesting place with a wide selection of local food and drink. Rather disappointingly though, the staff seemed to be disinterested in the job they were paid to do and intent on taking their frustrations out on customers through micro-aggressions. Sadly, this isn’t the only time on this trip to Menorca that we have been made to feel uncomfortable by front of house staff who “just aren’t into it”. We have found the owner-managed businesses to be generally so much better.

Inside the wrought iron entrance and to the right of the fish market are lots of tapas stalls. Lots of pintxos and tapas portions and also drink stalls. There are barrells to sit around or tables in the courtyard garden, Really affordable and great to have so much choice. Just order from the stall and take to your table. Each pintxo is about €2-4 and a glass of wine #2.50. It does get very busy so get there early.

It's a busy place but interesting and tasty tapas. Each business has a counter and displays their wares very attractively. It's not only eye-candy but tasty too and local beer is available. You have to pay each vendor separately a small amount, unless you get a lot of things from the same one. Your credit card make want verification that it's you spending your money, mine did but was ok once I'd entered my PIN. Lively great fun watching all the people milling around. Well worth a visit.

What a chaotic experience. This place is so busy and it is off peak at the moment here in Menorca. However, there was a cruise ship in the harbour so that possibly contributed to the chaos. Beautiful place to visit, so much food on display, something for everyone and for those of you who want to cook plenty of fresh fish for sale.
Would highly recommend a visit and don't be put off by the staff, they are rushed off there feet most of the time so have little time to fuss over every customer.

Located in Mahon’s historic centre, at the fish market, you would expect an authentic culinary experience reflecting the island’s rich gastronomic heritage. Unfortunately, what I found was far from the vibrant and tasty dishes this place is known for. Instead, I found myself facing a selection of microwaved meals, served at prices you would expect from a full-service restaurant, not a quick-service counter.

At first glance, the offers are presented with an air of culinary sophistication. The names of the dishes are tempting, hinting at the island’s abundant natural wealth and diverse culinary influences. However, once food is served, it quickly becomes apparent that this market is more focused on convenience than quality. Reheated meals lack the freshness and vitality one would expect from carefully prepared and experienced food. The flavors are dim, the textures inconsistent and the overall experience leaves much to be desired.

It's disappointing, especially considering the island's reputation for extraordinary cuisine. The market concept has great potential, but falls short in implementation. When paying restaurant prices, there is an expectation of quality that is simply not met here. The island is home to a variety of local farms, fishermen and artisans who produce the highest quality ingredients. However, these overheated dishes do not do justice to what could be a celebration of the island’s culinary traditions.

In conclusion, while comfort has its place, it should not come at the expense of quality, especially in a place where food is an integral part of cultural identity.

DISAPPOINTING!! Microwave reheated food on plastic trays at restaurant price. A real fiasco! Too bad because the site is to see it but if you don't want to feel conned, visit it but don't eat there! And if you do, bring silverware and napkins!🙃

Internally there are several tapas points serving different foods, one dedicated to meat, one to pinchos, one to fish, so a lot of choice. Everything is pre-cooked and heated up (if needed), but we appreciated the wide choice, general quality and good wine.
Perhaps not the best food but definitely we spent a funny night.

Terrible place, it looks very nice but the quality is disastrous and shameful. Everything overheated and soft, unbearable heat and poor quality-price ratio, very expensive for the poor quality they offer. Don't be fooled by how visually pretty it looks, I would never go back.
