We took the last cruise of the day at 3pm which wasn't too crowded. The boat tours Mahon harbour, the largest natural harbour in the Mediterranean, and lasts one hour. There is a clear commentary in multiple languages, including English, which gives brief details as you pass the main sites including Quarantine Island, Bloody Island and Admital Collingwood's House. At the entrance to the harbour, the boat stops for a while so you can view the sea through its glass bottom. There wasn't much to see through the glass bottom on our trip, but we were quite fascinated by watching passengers being ferried to their enormous cruise liner docked nearby! The cruise is smooth, so need to worry if you suffer from sea sickness. It can be quite breezy on the top deck, so you may want to take a jumper or jacket. We booked our tickets on the booth on the Quayside. Tickets cost 15 Euro per adult.

We were in Mahon for one day and had pre booked the boat trip around the harbour as an introduction to Menorca. After torrential rain earlier in the day, we were told on arrival that it might not be possible to see many fish but actually they did a short stop and despite slightly murky water we did see shoals and some larger fish. They asked our nationality on boarding and played the commentary in English alongside Spanish and French. All really interesting to hear about the history of the city, but not too intrusive, plenty of time for just taking in the view. Small bar selling drinks and snacks on board and friendly staff.

Fantastic boat trip.
No fish visible in the port on this day, but that’s purely due to the weather and pot luck, but the whole trip was really worth it. A lovely way to see all of Mahon Port and it’s many inlets 🥰
Easy to book online. Very well organised and punctual.
History talk of Mahon port was given clearly in all languages. 👏
Ice lollies and drinks a little pricey, but that’s to be expected with a captive audience.

We really enjoyed our trip on the Yellow Catamaran. The crew were kind and welcoming, we learnt some interesting historical facts about Mahon and the kids loved seeing fish through the viewing deck at the bottom as we approached the open sea. Surpassed expectations, the whole family enjoyed it and we would do it again.

Easy to use web site for booking, parking fairly close and reasonably priced. The I hour trip took in the whole of the harbour of Mahon and all the main historical/local places of interest were described by the multi language translation. On our trip there was plenty of seating (though probably crowded in season) and soft drinks ice cream etc was available from the bar. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and as there was a lot to take in we will most probably go again next time we visit Menorca.

Very nice boat trip, felt very safe. Great recorded commentary, the English voice was a older male with a clipped accent.
I didn't personally try the glass bottom view as it was quite crowded, although they would stay in situ untill all had taken the chance to look at the underwater view. It was a great way to find out some history. Shame it wasn't longer. Booked and paid online, slightly cheaper. Boat had a toilet which is always a plus!

15 euros each well worth it! There are commentaries in various languages - the English being spoken by an English person so much easier to understand. The history is fascinating of this former British naval establishment, most of which is still there. Great way to spend an hour.

Living in Mahon I recommend all my guests to.take the harbour tour. It is interesting as well as nice and cool on hot days and warm if you want sun in spring or autumn. Absolutely recomendable.

It’s a lovely trip around one of the largest natural harbours in Europe. Facilities were good, drinks and snacks available and an available toilet. The let down was the limited access and crowded steps to the glass bottom viewing floor. Minor quibble but was over monopolised by the few to the disadvantage of the many - and incredibly hot down there!

Excellent boat trip, very interesting to learn about the history of the buildings and looking underwater through the glass bottom. Staff very polite and cheerful. We make sure we always have a trip out on the boat every time we come to Menorca using this service. Very good value for money.
