This beach is a must see. Beautifully set against high cliffs. Make sure to take a walk all the way to the cliffs and beyond, very much worth it. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rent and there are several restaurants for drinks and lunch. We loved it, as did our kids (1,5 and 3,5 yrs).

The beach is clean. It ends with the famous rocks that you can climb or pass between. The water is about 16 degrees in winter. And the great restaurant ‘O Luis’ is located here. Some people stay and free camp with their motorhomes here.

Great sandy beach, with very nicerocks forming a typical Algarvan scene. You can book a spectacular boat trip to (and in !!!) the narrow caves, an amazing trip that you shouldn't mis. Must do experience :)

There is a lot of fuss about this beach like it is one of the most beautiful os Algarve. Is not bad but is not the best.
Excessively touristic and massive and so extremely crowded. Also, you have the boats and the jetskis passing all the time and making a lot of noise.
Most of the time, it is full of algae.
Personally, I saw better beaches in Algarve.

The Praia da Rocha and the Tres Irmaos are lying next to each other, separated by a high rock formation, interconnected by tunnels. It is an overstatement, but if da Rocha, together with it's wide stretch of sandy beach, vendors, suncreams and cigarette butts is Mr. Hyde, than the Tres Irmaos with it's rock formations, caves, tunnels and hideouts is certainly Dr. Jekyll. Anyway, you just can't see one without the other.

We parked our car by the beach of Praia dos Trés irmãos on April 13, 2015. We had put most of put valuables in the boot of the car, locked everything up and went to the beach for one hour. Came back to find that a thief had taken everything from purses, cameras, and personal ID. The thief use a small punch to enter the drivers side.
Advice is carry your belongings with you, don't leave anything in the car

Sitting directly below the Pestana Alvor Praia Hotel, this beach is absolutely wonderful. From the fabulous beach restaurant, Atlantida, head left along the beach and through the passageways and tunnels of the huge sandstone cliffs. Here you will find little nooks and crannies which are brilliant for sunbathing.
When you see those wonderful photographs of the Algarve Beaches; nine times out of ten, they are taken here.
The beach also has other restaurants tucked into the cliffs and offer a good selection of food and drink.

There are various ways of reaching this beautiful stretch of beach depending on your mode of travel, if you are driving there you can start at the east side where the rock formations are by parking in the Prainha Club complex that is off the M531 road from Portimao to Alvor and follow the signs for the lift/elevator that takes you down to the beach through a nice restaurant called Canico, when you emerge the views are breathtaking and unforgettable ( restaurant opens 10am) Once on the beach walk to the left and explore the coves and rock formations, this is a photographers heaven so get your camera ready, returning west along the beach there are a number of very good restaurants ending after about 2km with one called Restinga, the beach carries on from here for another 2km to the estuary that leads to Alvor harbour.

I have been to Alvor many times and always visit this beach. The Tres Irmaos are very large rock formations jutting from the water on this beach. Just a bit further is the Prainha, the little beach, which at low tide allows access to another beach with many arches and rock formations. Absolutely one of the most beautiful beaches in the entire world, in my opinion, even more beautiful than beaches that have been rated to be the best. Alvor itself is a lovely town with many opportunities for dining and visiting the fishing dock.

We actually had in mind to go to Dona Ana beach in Lagos, which has a great reputation on the Internet. It just happened to put my hand on a postcard with Praia dos Tres Irmaos, about whose exsistence I wasn't aware. The postcard was lovely
and we discovered that the beach is in Alvor and this was somehow in our way to Dona Ana.

Then we decided to stop for a few minutes on Praia dos Tres Irmaos and take some pictures and after go to Dona Ana.

We arrived there around noon and we took pictures for more than 1 hour. That amazing it was!

Then we went to Dona Ana, where we spent like 5 minutes and after we went back to Praia dos Tres Irmaos.

Dona Ana is a pretty nice beach too, but we liked a lot more Praia dos Tres Irmaos.
It is a wide beach, that has a spot for everyone's taste. A part of it is without rocks, has many terraces/restaurants and you can rent sunbeds and parasols. But the part I really love is the one with cliffs and caves. You will not be able to rent sunbeds and parasols, but you still can enjoy the service of a cute terrace/restaurant built right
on the cliff.

In June we didn't have difficulties to find a parking place near the beach. Also we left our luggage in the trunk and it was still there when we came back. But I must say we have an alarm on the car. I mention this because I've just read that someone had his luggage stolen. This happened to us a few years ago in a holiday. After that
we put an alarm on the car and we didn't have problems with car thieves since.

I will attach some pictures of Praia dos Tres Irmaos, but I don't feel like any of them makes justice to the beauty of
this beach...
