Badly signposted and when you find it you will be underwhelmed. Filled with a children’s playground and the ugliest public toilets ... and that’s it. Such a shame. We spent less than a minute there

This castle is no more than a few walls filled with a modern playground and toilets. Quite tricky to locate however they do have a slope for those in a wheelchair. Walls have been restored and look good but in my opinion they have made...More

It was an interesting place to visit, nicely restored, with respect to the things that were no longer possible to restore, that gave a nice atmosphere.

A great day out looking for this. Found it peeping out above a house. The street name was a big clue.

Thoroughly enjoyed Alvor on our day trip, a beautiful fishing village with very friendly locals and excellent restaurants and bars

We came across the Castle by accident while out for a walk and although the history of the place is interesting it seems a bit neglected, though this may be because we visited at the end of the season. There really isn't much to see...More

Although not what I was expecting when you go and visit the ruins of a castle this place was very quaint. It is really rather small and there are only the remnants of the four outer walls remaining, one of which holds some information about...More

Not much to see here although we had to pay to get in. The cash-teller was very grumpy and not encouraging. They were excavating the grounds which was quite interesting
