We started in 2004 mainly with guiding outdoor tours. Today we offer adventure travel packages for individuals and groups, fixed dates or tailor made. We emphasize on experiencing and "doing" the pristine Norwegian wilderness combined with meeting local culture and history. This through local encounters, food, and products. We look for the best spots and find them mainly in the fjord region but also involving the Atlantic coast and the glaciers and highlands. Areas like Geiranger, Nordfjord, Kalvag, Jotunheimen, Sognefjord, Flam, Aurlandfjord, Nærøyfjord, Alesund, Hjørundfjord, Bergen, Lysefjord, Pulpit rock, Trolltongue are where we like to take you. Typical activities we do are Seakayaking, walking/hiking, cycling/biking, skiing, snowshoeing, fishing, wilderness camping, luxurious trips, sailing.

I worked with Anne of Norway adventures to plan a custom 12 day trip for our extended family of 5, including a toddler and grandparents (and picky New York parents:). Anne was incredibly communicative as we planned the trip, and she deeply understood the needs of our family and even accounting for our son’s nap each day. The itinerary she created was absolutely perfect with every detail considered, from arranging tours to rental cars and even childcare! Anne was available throughout the trip to answer our questions and we felt extremely taken care of. We absolutely loved Norway and I would highly recommend working with Anne and her team to curate a personalized trip to meet your unique travel preferences. Her detailed guides were the best I’ve ever seen, I feel so lucky to have found Norway Adventures!

Our experience with Norway AdvenTURes was nothing short of spectacular. Having traveled with many different tour operators around the world, I can confidently say that this experience was exceptional. From the moment we connected with Anne, the owner, we felt her passion for providing an unforgettable journey. Anne’s thoughtful attention to detail set this trip apart. She took the time to understand the experiences we were looking for and organized an itinerary that exceeded our expectations. Each day was carefully built to include a wide variety of activities, from hiking and biking through breathtaking landscapes, canyoneering through a magnificent river gorge and kayaking in beautiful remote fjords free from tourist crowds. We were delighted to discover the authentic beauty of Norway away from the typical tourist paths.
The accommodations were varied and unique and ranged from beautiful old historic hotels with exceptional cuisine to rustic remote mountain cabins where we prepared our own meals. These added a special touch to our journey, enhancing our overall experience. All our guides were friendly and knowledgeable and made every moment enjoyable and informative. Thanks to Anne’s meticulous planning and insightful recommendations, we left Norway with memories that we will cherish forever.

We were planning a trip to Sweden to pick up a new Volvo through their Overseas Delivery program. Part of that program includes being able to drive the new car for up to six months in Europe before having it shipped back to the US. Knowing we wanted to spend some time exploring and hiking in Norway, we contacted Norway AdvenTURes to see if they could design an itinerary for us. We met with Anne (virtually), and after hearing about our specific situation and interests, she proposed an amended version of the self-guided fjord hiking tour that is described on their website, which would allow us to make our way to the fjord land driving from Sweden, by way of Lillehammer, and return via Oslo. In a word, the trip was incredible! Our lodging was in small hotels that were charming and comfortable, and all in places that felt very off the beaten path. All breakfasts and most dinners were included, and the food was generally excellent. We had a couple of one night stays, but the rest of the time we spent 3 nights each in 3 separate locations, which allowed us to minimize the driving and maximize the exploring. For each location, we were provided with detailed information about various hiking options, as well as other places of interest we might want to see. Links to maps and to more information were included. The hike descriptions were honest and accurate, and obviously written by those with local and personal knowledge. Both easier and harder hiking options were always included. We did discover that Norway hiking can be challenging and humbling (and this is from a couple of well-seasoned Colorado hikers)! Many trails are very steep and rocky (no switchbacks), some with some fairly exposed areas, some muddy. But the payoff was well worth the effort, with stunning views of mountains, fjords, glaciers, and/or waterfalls on every hike we took. Other highlights included a private tour of the Sagastad Viking museum in Nordfjordeid, a half day guided kayak trip on Hjørundfjord, and a visit to Anne's home and sheep farm in Davik. And no crowds! Anne took special care to design a trip that avoided touristy and overcrowded areas. Overall, we feel we got a special taste of a very special part of Norway, on a trip designed just for us by a company with extensive local expertise and knowledge. We highly recommend Norway AdvenTURes!!

a group of 7 friends went on a private hiking trip to celebrate several birthdays. norway advenetures was wonderful with personalized itinerary based on the varied hiking activity levels and attentive to having good options for everyone every day. there was great flexibility in the activities depending on the weather that day as well. the accommodations were great with amazing views-peaceful to wake up to with a cup of coffee! it is a beautiful country with equally beautiful people. so nice to get out into the smaller towns though we started with some time in bergen which was also great. our hiking guide suzy was amazing with energy, maturity, organizational, driving, and cooking skills that could not be beat! cannot recommend it highly enough and thank you anne for your guidance!

We did a fantastic self-drive 12 day trip with friends in August. We normally prefer to book things ourselves, and we came across this company while researching kayaking trips. What really sold us on using them was talking with Anne about their philosophy of helping you get off the beaten path. We really felt this trip delivered on that. We saw so much beautiful scenery, stayed in amazing places, ate great food, and almost never felt we were in the middle of crowds, except for an hour ferrying along the Geirangerfjord :-)
One of the many highlights was doing a two day overnight kayaking trip to stay at a farm only accessible by boat. Despite it raining on us on the way out, we were very happy because of the excellent equipment and guide.
Everything was arranged perfectly, and the trip information packets were extremely detailed and well organized to let us plan our days based on what we felt like at the time. Hiking recommendations were also great, and very thoughtfully chosen with different options based on time, conditions etc. Guides were uniformly wonderful and full of personality and stories.
We asked for characterful local hotels, and loved the ones that were chosen for us. Really warm and personal hospitality, and top quality breakfasts and dinners.
Overall we can't recommend Norway Adventures enough to anyone who wants to benefit from really outstanding local knowledge, custom tailored to what interests you most.

My husband and I recently returned from an amazing trip to Norway. Prior to the trip I had contacted 5 travel agents to put together an itinerary for us. All of them came back with quite similar itineraries and all had nothing to do with what we were interested in. I was about to give up on a trip to Norway and then I found Norway Adventures. I spoke with Anne and the very first itinerary she sent to me was perfect. She truly listened to us and personalized the itinerary to our interests.
The trip was absolutely amazing!! Anne's organizational skills are fabulous and everything went perfectly smoothly. We feel so fortunate to have found Anne and Norway Adventures. We were able to experience authentic Norway off the beaten path and see and do the things the locals love. Our accommodations were so beautifully unique and special, and our guides were fun, friendly and entertaining. We hiked and kayaked without crowds and could sit on a mountain top and enjoy the serenity. The entire trip was just perfect....somehow Anne even managed to order the most spectacular weather! Norway is a gorgeous country with so much to offer. The people are some of the friendliest in the world and always have a smile....no wonder!

We booked our honeymoon trip with Norway AdvenTURes and are so happy we did! With Anne's help we had a beautiful, stress free vacation traveling from Oslo to Bergen, with multiple fjordgeous stops along the way to hike and take in the spectacular views. Our private walking tours in each city gave us a chance to learn more about Norway's history and culture. As vegetarians, we were a little nervous about what would be available for us, but we had no problems finding plenty of delicious options wherever we went (vegans might have a more difficult time). The hotels were clean and comfortable. The detailed itinerary provided by Anne guided us through each day's travel and accomodations so that we knew exactly what to expect.

Our trip with Norway Adventures was absolutely everything we wanted and didn’t know we wanted. We chose Anne at Norway Adventures to help us plan our 12 day fjord trip and it was the best decision. She listened to our desire for adventure, a couple luxury stays, off-the beaten-path, traditional Norwegian experiences and delivered flawlessly. We spent 11 days driving from Alesund, to Urke/Oye, Stryn/Leon, Geiranger, and Romsdal/Andalsnes with detailed driving instructions, reservations and activity guides. Our trip was a trip of a lifetime and we owe it to Anne and her team at Norway Adventures. Our favorite experiences were kayaking and camping with Norway Adventures guide Ian in idyllic Norangsfjorden and staying at gorgeous Union Oye after camping. The three course meal was amazing and I am so glad I trusted Anne’s advice not to cancel it. Next favorite was our stay in Stryn and hiking to Bodalsbreen glacier off Lake Lovatnet - stunningly beautiful everywhere you look. Finally, our super comfortable cabin at Gjerdset Turiscenter in Romsdal on a beautiful lake with free use of a row boat and life jackets to fish. We cannot thank Anne and her team enough. We did not want to leave!

Twenty family members, coming from New York, Atlanta and London came to Norway for a pre-Christmas trip. Norway AdvenTURes organized it all for us and they did an absolutely amazing job. Keeping so many people of differing ages ( age 4-age 75) happy, excited and comfortable was a big ask but it went flawlessly and was a truly beautiful experience. The fjords seem even more beautiful in the snow ( we've been in the summer too) and the whole experience was, as everyone said afterwards, magical. Huge, massive thanks to Norway AdvenTURes for creating lasting and truly wonderful memories!

We had an absolutely incredible holiday in Norway, thanks to Norway Adventures. We typically like to travel independently and have travelled extensively across Africa and Asia, so Norway was a bit of an unusual choice for us. Nevertheless, Anne planned a perfect trip for us - kayaking, via ferrata, hiking, ziplining, delicious meals and small, elegant hotels- she stayed far away from the cruise ship hordes, incorporated the right balance of activity (which we require w/two older teenagers) and beautiful, heritage accommodations (which as people who require a good night's sleep, my husband and I loved). Best of all, they took all the guess work and stress out of the trip (eg ferry schedules, driving times, etc) and provided a detailed itinerary, planned with absolute military precision. It's shocking to reflect how much we did, yet how relaxed I feel upon return. I want to go back! Simply one of our best holidays ever.

I need help planning a trip. I’ve booked my flight to Norway from the US and will be arriving at 11am on April 24, 2019, and will be returning to the US from Oslo at 11am on May 2nd. I was hoping to get suggestions regarding an itinerary that will include all the must see locations, or at least as many of them as possible. To reduce traveling time given the vast distances to cover, I will be able and willing to travel by air between the major destinations if at all possible. I’ve looked throughout the online fora here on TripAdvisor, but the majority suggest driving routes or trains. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, We spent a fortnight in Norway, summer 2018. After exploring, we decided to drive and never regretted that decision. Depending on the places you want to visit, you could drive across, do the local attraction and then move on to the next place. We worked with a local company Norway Adventures for getting an itinerary and that worked out absolutely well. They will tailor your specific interests into the itinerary. Norway can be considered as North (Tromso for Northern Lights) and the South/South-East/South-West - that's where people visit for the summer.
