Being on a cruise ship tour we borrowed 2 ebikes for having a trip up to Dalsnibba viewpoint. Katrin served us with 2 great ebikes. Since we had to make 1500 m difference in altitude she equipped us with 2 batteries for each bike to eliminate any risk running out of power. The tour was marvellous although the view on Dalsnibba was foggy. Temperature was also down to 2 degrees Centigrade there. We enjoyed the tour very much and we were able to manage the entire tour without any of the additional batteries. We‘d like to thank Katrin for her excellent service and we can recommend Geirangerfjordservice without exception. Since we are still stunned from the tour for sure we will be back….

We rented a double kayak and absolutely loved the experience! We were given thorough instructions so felt quite safe even though we've only done it once before (and it was a long time ago). We spent an amazing hour kayaking in the fjord and enjoying the scenery. The only thing I did not like was the smell of old sweat the life vests had.

Thank you for your feed back. great to hear you had a fantastic day in Geiranger out on the Fjord.
our routines for the life vest is to give them a wash after every use. In times of Corona we even let them dry 24 hours or if not will disinfect them with antibacterial spray.
The salt water in the fjord and possible sweat get washed our when cleaning them with fresh water.
But due to the wet environment they can smell a bit stuffy sometimes.

Wow ! A magical night on the Geiranger fjord
During the Geiranger Light Festival we had an interesting walk down along the River staircase with the icy water of the Geiranger river and in along the shoreline in the village
... and then there was a 10:30pm FJORD EXCURSION !!! on a super-quiet catamaran.
On the way out from the narrow beams of light in the village centre it became slowly darker and we were looking at the blueish white ice "curtains" which are actually the Seven Sisters waterfalls. Out near Skageflå the boat lay still for a while in the shadow of the mountains and we experienced a fine jazz concert on the upper deck. I found it rather cool that we could actually see the shining ice clad waterfalls behind us and the contours of jagged peaks above us.
As the boat slowly returned to Geiranger we saw why .The light in the sky and on the waterfalls was so strong as the full moon was shining through the clouds !!

Thank you John. The Geiranger Light art festival the village arranges every February is a fantastic time of the year to come and visit our Fjord. The night fjord cruise with live music on board is one of the culture happenings during this time. Magical experience the Geirangerfjord in the "dark" or with the moon light. Thank you for joining us.

What a disaster this nearly was. We booked and paid for a RIB tour through this company months in advance of our visit to Norway. When we arrived on site, we were told they had no record of our reservation and could not accommodate us.
The young woman who worked towards accommodating us (her name may have been Katrin Schirmer) tried very hard to help. She claimed that the company acts only as an agent for the RIB tours. She claimed that our reservation was made before the agency digitized its reservations. The manager/owner of the company apparently forgot to move over our reservation to their new digital system and we slipped through the cracks.
This is completely unacceptable - especially for an agency that doesn't even provide the product. They had no value-added contribution whatsoever.
In defense of the young woman who helped us (I think her name may have been Katrin) she ran around looking for another RIB tour vendor who could accommodate us last minute. And she did find one for us, though we had to wait for more than one hour before our originally scheduled time. The agency credited us for the money we paid them (but we received on additional compensation) and then we had to pay directly to another supplier for the RIB tour.
In sort, avoid this agency entirely. Book your RIB tour through a company called BONSEYE directly.

I have booked the cruise Alesund Geiranger for 2 pax with the company Geiranger Fjordservice.Unfortunatly I made a mistake during the booking.
I took the departure at 8 30, but I forgot that the cruiseship would arrive at Alesund at 9 00 .
So I wrote them one day before to cancel the trip and asked them to refund the amount of 295 Euro.They wrote back, that it was a non refundable ticket and so they would not make a refund. That`s it. The only thing they would do is to change the traveldate. That makes no sense at all because I was only that day in Alesund.
I wrote them all to gether 4 times , but at last I did not get even an answer.
So I can not recommend this company at all .If somebody plans to choose this company I recommend to think about this decision twice before booking!!!

Dear customer we have very clear on all our tickets they are non refundable. We also offer a 50 NOK travel insurance most passangers book to be able to cancel. We are follow our terms and conditions.

Geiranger Executive Panorama Bus. I had wanted a booking for 21 July 2023 but due to the high numbers of cruise passengers in port on that day I was not able to get a booking so I booked for 22 July 2023. I received an email at 5.30pm 21 July advising they had technical issues and would be cancelling the trip. There were no other options. I was extremely disappointed. I felt they could have done more to get a substitute bus. Definitely do not recommend relying on this company.

Dear customer we totaly understand your feedback. Unfortunately our other options (taxi, ecar ) are very different to single bus tickets in prices. Ebike had been a option be offered. IT is hard to match a bus ticket in price. We are sorry for the late notice but struggling in bussy summer season to get replacments for busses if they not running.

In July, we came to this resort for a girl's trip. We tried an adrenaline-pumping zipline over a rock with a waterfall, and then continued on to a fun via ferrata. The whole experience was breathtaking. The staff were very nice and very helpful. Thank you very much for a great experience.

Don’t take the cruise ship tour, this one is far less expensive. We purchased our tickets at the pier, there were eight of us. We were able to tour the little village before taking the tour, there’s not much to see, but there are booths and shops selling tourist mementos. There is a lovely coffee shop to rest your legs and have a good cup of coffee. We headed out on our tour bus to two different mountain sites with spectacular views. The price was less than half of the ships tour.

We had a group of extended family with 8 people ranging in age from 3 to 60. Everyone love this ride. My kids liked it more than the helicopter we went in. You get up close to beautiful waterfalls ... Into the mist from some. The driver also provided great perspective on living in Norway and information on the fjords, falls and farms here. Exciting ride as the driver goes over wakes from other boats. The three kids (ages 3,4 and 7) were screaming with delight the whole ride.
If coming from a cruise I recommend booking independent from the boat and directly with this company. We save 50% of the price the cruise was charging for their excursion. It is very easy to get to ... The meeting point is at the tourist information office in town right next to the boat dock.

I had decided to book this on my own as the tours they offered were half the price of the ship tours. I was pleased with all 3 tours. I did the Hop On Panorama Bus tour on Eagles Rd., the RIB boat tour, and the Mountain Highlight Tour. I told the lady I was glad I hadn't booked on-line as our cruise ship was a day late getting to Geiranger as we encountered Hurricane Bertha. She told me there would have been no problem - she would have rescheduled the tours for me. She helped me save some money by combining 2 of the tours. I enjoyed each one - the bus rides were scary as there are so many hair -pin turns but the drivers didn't seem concerned at all. I was so glad they were driving and not me. I loved the RIB boat tour as I learned so much history about 7 Sisters and the Suitor. It was a most enjoyable day in a breathtaking town. They also have great Wi-Fi outside their store. I sat at the picnic table and caught up on all my e-mail. We were the 1st ship in town so we had the whole village to ourselfves for a few hours and it was delightful.

Dear customer, thanks for your feedback. Good to hear you enjoy your stay in Geiranger and got to see the Fjord from above by bus and very close up by our RIB boats. Yes- as you write we know things can change in a cruise schedule and we try to be flexible with online bookings and will find a solution to change to earlier or later departure. We also have in our policy if the ship changes the tour and we can not reschedule the bus or boat we will off course refund the money to our customers. katrin

Not really a problem if you cannot swim. You will wear a life vest for the entire trip. The kayaks were very stable. We had guides on our trip and they directed us on how to position the kayak if a boat passed close by and created waves.

We have 1 departure a day from Ålesund, 8:00 in the morning. You arrive in Geiranger at 11:00, you then would have 5 hours here to enjoy tours of your choosing, all schedules/timings available on our website for you to see :) We then depart Geiranger at 16:00 to arrive back in Ålesund 19:00. yes the Fjordcruise from Ålesund to Geiranger start in the morning in Ålesund and you arrive lunch time in Geirnager have 3-4 hours and return in the same boat back to åleusnd arrive in the evening. WE like to recomend to book the tickets online before to make sure there is space. in september we leave wednesday friday sunday.
