Gorgeous short ferry trip

Multiple rainbows off the fine spray of the seven sisters waterfalls on the Geiranger Fjord. This was on a "tourist" car ferry, with multilingual commentary.

I had never known about the Seven Sisters till I actually saw it. The audio feed available onboard our Fjord Cruise made the experience a more enjoyable one. The legendary tale behind each of the Seven Waterfalls being regarded as seven unmarried sisters with a waterfall on the opposite end that has constantly wooed and had its proposal declined makes... Even though there was good flow of water, the stream was very thin in December, and we had problem counting them. May be better at other times

We went in September and took a boat tour which was a lot of fun. However the seven sisters did not live up the hype. They were barely flowing. If recommend not seeing them late in the year

The Geiranger Fjord is tremendous. But this waterfall is no more spectacular than many others we saw. We kayaked to it in September. It was likely less dramatic in this month, but I wouldn't go our of my way to see this one.

Passed this waterfall on our cruise ship whilst leaving Geiranger, and perhaps due to the lack of rain, it was a little less than we had expected. Not that impressive

Beautiful scenery, we hired a small motor boat and made our own way down the fjord. Seven sisters where somewhat underwhelming. Maybe it was due to the time of year (August) perhaps better when the snow is melting. Either way, I can recommend hiring a boat.
