Wonderful

Went there by boat. Hired it from Geiranger Fjorden Campsite. Was quite cheap and everything we needed. Seven Sisters is a must see attraction in Geiranger.

The seven sisters waterfalls are best seen when you take a Fjord cruise from Hellesylt to Geiranger or vice versa. The falls are absolutely marvelous to see and across on the other side is the suitor waterfall forming a bottle shape. Making this a nice fable/ fairy tale!

Best seen from our Viking Ocean cruise ship. They were majestic and very pretty. There are waterfalls all around Norway, but these were pretty nice.

Even if you don't have perfect sunny skies the boat trip along the Geiranger Fjord is worth it. You gain a whole new perspective from seeing these magnificent, elegant and often powerful falls from sea level. I grew up near the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon and thought we had the most beautiful waterfalls in the world there... I was... More

We had been told by our travel agent that we should buy our tickets well in advance for the "ferry". We had no idea which day the sun would shine so we waited and bought our tickets the day before the cruise at the Tourist Office in Alesund. Our "ferry" turned out to be a cruise ship of the Hurtigruten... More

You will see the waterfall if you do a boat cruise of the fjord. In late June the falls were only moderate in size, and they would wax and wane with the snow melt during the year. Even not at their peak they were beautiful, and if you go at the right time the sun shines through the water making... More

We had a wonderful view of this waterfall from a boat excursion and from our ship as we cruised out of the fjord.

Be on deck for the sail in and sail out from Geiranger--Beautiful sight. Better in times of high rainfall or melt off.

Two sets of falls [Friaren is the other] across from each other on the fjord. Great pictures if the light is right.
