Contrary to a popular local legend, this castle has NOTHING to do with either Romeo or Juliet. These two castles, Castello della Villa/Castle of the Villa (Romeo's) and Castello della bellaguardia (Juliet's) are in strategic positions over the valley, one looks over one side, the...More

Had been to this castle a few times. From the top, the entire province is visible. As long as one stays in Vicenza, the castle is always visible.

It is surreal to stand in the castle and recite the story, trying to imagine what life was like for Juliet. Climbing the tower is a must and view is amazing. Definitely worth a visit!
