In yet another little medieval village in Tuscany, as geared up for tourists as any, this small, narrow pastry shop with a senior owner-manager lady obviously caters for those who will be back again and again.
We had a decent tea (hard to get better than that in Italy anyway, let alone in a standard neighbourhood bar) and one of many great-looking pastries: a maritozzo con la panna (long brioche cut on the top lengthwise and stuffed with whipped cream), that tasted great. The coffee was among the best we remember, Tuscany or anywhere.
The three items cost us an extremely reasonable 4.50 euros, steps away from the fanciest restaurant and bar in town.
The wiry local ne'er-do-good with long grizzly hair and more drinks on him than soap was unobtrusive and easy to get along with, under the skilful and close management of the landlady. His coffee was likely differently flavoured than ours, and arguably stronger.
A pleasant and rewarding coffee experience, and a stroll down memory lane to Italian neighbourhood bars in the 1960-1970s.

We stopped in here every day or so during our 2 week stay in the area to pick up pastries for our group of 8. Delicious and fresh, the pastries are packaged up on a tray to easily transport and serve.

We got a plethora of pastries and two caffes', all which were delicious. Don't expect anything fancy, but it is a perfect fit for the little town.

This little coffee shop has the best coffee and pastries I have tasted on this holiday and at €6.40 for 2 caffe latte an espresso and 3 pastries will take some beating for value and friendly service

This little pasticceria is situated just across the street from the most beautiful view. There are just a few little art deco style seats. But the friendly owner and excellent pastries and coffee make this a very worthwhile place to stop for a while
