You do NOT need a guide for Tiscali! Seriously. I wanted to do the Tiscali hike for 3 reasons: 1—hike to the top of a mountain to see ruins of a 2,000-year-old city? What’s not to love about this??? Completely awesome. 2—after reading so many...More

We arrived at the car park in the Lanaittu valley where we met a French family returning after an unsuccessful attempt to find the path. We too failed after spending about 45 mins looking for it. At the tourist information place at the nearby Grotta...More

As previous people have mentioned, if you are going up from the Sa Brava side you need to drive across the bridge by the bar where there is paid parking (€6 a day or €10 overnight) and drive till you get to the car park....More

At least we were in the shade for some of the trudge up to this cluster of dwellings in a cave. You are given a short leaflet then just left to get on with it and can wander along the path trying to work it...More

Major adventure! 10.5 km, 3 solid hours of walking up, down, clamboring over rocks, really strenuous and not for the faint of heart. Definitely need proper gear (hiking or trail boots), and a good attitude.. The ruins of the Tiscali village were beautiful and thought-provoking....More

We took the route from Ponte Sa Barva. You can park your car at the parking (€4 for half day) or drive a little bit further, pass the bridge and then go right. There is an open spot where you can park your car for...More

Best hiking trip ever! Did it 3 times until today and keeps impressing me. The mountain view in the early morning, the quietness, the forest, the climb. Can't wait to go again.

Great hike and interesting visit at the sight. We took trail 410 on the way up and 481/411 back. I'd recommend that for variety and I'd rather not take 410 down; to steep. No signs at all on 410 that say you're on the right...More

For me, finding the starting point of this trail is 90% of the battle. We came in on the Fiumineddu valley road and kept wondering if we were on the right track. In retrospect, the directions you get on some websites are absolutely right, you...More

Very beautiful hiking path and wonderful view on these superb rocks. I loved it. The tiscali village unfortunately is nothing special because it could be better preserved....hopefully there will be more funds. The guy explaining us very nice.
