Angelo took us to the breathtakingly beautiful Gola Gorropu. He is a great guy and a wonderful guide with great knowledge about local history, plants and animals. The lunch in the woods, with bread, cheese, sausage and wine (all from his own farm) was one of the better meals I've ever had. Thank you Angelo!…

Our guide and his companion were super friendly and took great care of us. Very personal atmosphere in a breath-taking scenery which ended in a challenging hike through a beautiful canyon. They were extremely helpful through the most difficult part of the canyon. On the way back we enjoyed a delicious packed lunch with some of our guide's home-made salami. We got on so well that we even stopped for a beer in a local pub afterwards. Thanks guys, you were truly awesome and we had a blast!!…

Our kids (ages 6, 8, 10) like to hike on rocky and spectacular paths. But in july it is hot in Sardegna, really hot. A great (the only) way to offer them this opportunity, was Angelo's excursion! He picked us up by jeep. The ride itself was an adventure, and it made it possible to reach the spectacular Tiscali-site (on tuesday) and Gorrupu (on thursday). Our kids were extremely excited about both excursions, and so were we: - beautiful landscape - Angelo is very nice. He speaks Italian, but very clear and patienty. we understood almost everything ;-) - we enjoyed his homemade wine, cheese, honey, salsiccia... - the price is very fair…

The price for this hike was 45 euro for each person and we organised this from one of the Escursioni booths in Cala Ganone. At first the lady said there weren't any hikes available but she took our number and said she would make some calls and she managed to find us a tour half an hour later, great service. We were picked up from our hotel (brilliant!) in Dorgali at 9am and were taken in a jeep to the place where the hike began. The jeep ride involves driving along a dirt track which is... interesting! You arrive at the starting point and there is a descent down a semi shaded valley but towards the bottom there is no shade. When you arrive at the gorge, the place just takes your breath away. The entrance fee is included in the price so you trek in to the gorge until it's too difficult to go any further. the return journey is done in the midday blazing heat so it gets difficult but when you reach the starting point, the guides take you to a secluded picnic spot and prepare a beautiful lunch of local meat, cheese, bread and wine which is a great feast after the hardship. Definitely wear decent shoes, a hat, take 2 litres of water and it's not the best trip for very young children. I feel the excursion company need to stress this a lot as a family of 7 joined our hike who had a very young child with them, inappropriate footwear and only a litre of water between them. Luckily the guide we had, Alberto, was very accommodating and patient with the child (taking her hand and helping her all the way) and led the family to a fresh spring to refill their bottle but you need to be prepared. Our guide Alberto was amazing. So knowledgeable, good english, accommodating, patient and very enthusiastic. He did a great job with a potentially difficult trip and recommended us a restaurant to eat at and made the reservation for us!…

We loved Sardinia! We had three marvelous excursions to Cala Luna, Su Gorroppu and Tiscali. Angelo was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable, very helpful, very accommodating and a lovely person. We could not have asked for more! Great hiking/trekking trips while admiring the natural wonders of Sardinia’s mountains and mainland’s. The tours are always combined with a detailed and exhaustive explanation of the Sardinian territory and history. We also enjoyed a delicious typical Sardinian meal which is offered with a variety of delicacies like fresh ricotta with honey, local pecorino cheese, sausages, tasty potato bread and Cannonau wine. We loved the home made family meal and the wine-tasting. We feel we learned a tremendous amount about Sardinia, its history, geography and culture. A great experience and a must for hiking and natural environment lovers!!…
