The main reason to come here is to see the display about "Delia", a woman who died with her unborn child and who was place in a cave 25,000 years ago. Their bones are displayed beside a diorama of her as she was dressed and...More

Read about the nice museum in Ostuni and thought this was it Oooops! This is a rip off. No attempt to translate anything except on the Ticket (5 Euro) warning that if you loose the ticket you pay again? Only 4 rooms with skeletons and...More

The skeleton of the 25,000 year old pregnant woman and her baby was fascinating. There was a film about the discovery of the skeleton which was, unfortunately, only in Italian so I could not understand everything. There were a number of information posters on the...More

It was interesting to see the remains of "La Donna di Ostuni" who lived over 25,000 years ago and was pregnant at the time of her death. Otherwise, the museum is very tiny.

Go here rather than an other church. I shall remember seeing the fossilized bones of this 25,000 year old mother and near-term fetus long after I've forgotten that all the explanations were in Italian only. The museum is worth a quick visit to see the...More

There are some very interesting items in this collection, especially the remains of the pre-historic mother and child. But it is a work in progress -- they are undertaking a major renovation and installing lots of modern exhibits. For the moment, it isn't worth more...More

Lonely Planet says free but we had to pay 5 euros each and nothing is in English so waste of time unless you can speak Italian. 'Tour' finishes with a wax work in a cave? Hmm. Learnt nothing of the area
