This is a beautiful city, one that I have fallen in love with over time, I have been here 3 times now, and each time you explore you find new and exciting things. There are many beautiful restaurants serving amazing food. The buildings are beautiful, never walk past, always enter - if you are allowed. If you are there on... More

beautiful duomo, very pittoresque area. We really enjoyed walking around. It was full of people though as the evenings in ostuni are ultra crowded

Do this after 16:00. Nice walk in the town. Try and find the historic parking!! We did not succeed. Town itself is nice enough. Good views, nice terras and good food. Church is small but full of nice details. Some more explaining in english would certainly help.

I loved the shape of the exterior, the rose window, the lovely golden white color, the big wooden doors with their corresponding carvings, and of course the location on the little piazza facing the covered bridge. There were lots of student groups visiting when we were there. Inside is fairly simple, but very nice - especially the sculptures and paintings.

The Duomo di Ostuni is not only visually stunning itself but is in a quaint piazza somewhat hidden off of the main area. The white stone is shown at its best in this setting and the architectural features are beautiful. This is a great sight to see and a piazza to spend time in with a nice bar and fabulous... More

The old cathedral is in less use these days. The diocese has been united under the Diocese of Brindisi and so there is no Bishop of Ostuni (suppressed 14 May 1821). Only one mass is aid here each week (on Sunday) and all regular services as well as weddings etc. take place in the Church of San Francesco below in... More

You really can't miss this Cathedral at the very top of Ostuni. Beautiful Frescoes and marble interiors make the walk up memorable. There is a small piazza in front of the cathedral where you can have a drink and watch the world go by and admire the cathedral.

At the top of the via Cathedrale you find it. Well worth a visit inside. An amazing roof and as usual for Italian churches plenty to see inside.

An oasis of coolness and calm in this hill top village. A pretty small cathedral decorated with beautiful displays of white fragrant flowers (stocks) when we were there. A great place to rest after getting lost in the narrow winding streets in this medieval white washed town.

The interior is rich with marble intarsia and trompe l'oeil effect on the transept upper galleries. The square outside with Bishop's Palace and Old Seminar linked by a bridged passage is pretty and quaint. Ignore the touristy shops on the way up.
