    Fascinating Place To Explore
One of Puglia's famous white towns, this place stands on a hill overlooking the valley & plains below. A central square with statue of a saint, municipal buildings, cafes & bars. Lots of amazing little side-streets with shops and cafes. Gets very touristy in the middle of the day as the coaches arrive, but still a nice vibe around the place. Lots of nooks and crannies to investigate.

    Impressive
After the impressive Relais grottone, and the great restaurant operaprima. the restaurant overlooks the white city which is lit at night. A beautiful sight. We drove as close as possible to the entrance of the old part and walked in. A lot of noise and music. The old piazza is full of people. In general tourism in Puglia is mostly Italian. Hardly any foreigners. We walked in the old part which is beautiful and adorned with white buildings. It gives a very calming effect. We walked all the way up from where you can see the sea. A must.

    Greek Island Feel
We enjoyed getting away from the chaos in the busy central piazza and walking up the hill into an area full of alleys, narrow streets, and stairs, which run between the whitewashed buildings. And be aware, there are a lot of steps, and you can easily get turned around. Try it and you will be rewarded with cafes and bars with live music, interesting shops, and views of the Adriatic Sea. The higher you go, the better the views get. It all feels like a village in a tiny Greek island.

    A glorious vision in white
Ostuni is a spectacular town to visit in Puglia, We parked just outside the town near via Antonio Specchia with ample free parking and a paid lot nearby, and walked to the city. We began near Piazza della liberta, and the little streets radiating from there, including the unmissable viewpoint near Pza Martiri del Foibe. We then circled the old walls, and ascended to the old centre a cobweb of little lanes which are a sheer joy to wander around.

    Wonderful White Old Town
We took a one-day trip to this romantic place from Bari by train. It took about 1 hour and we took a local bus to the centre. The Old Town has some nice old historic buildings and the Duomo. It’s interesting that all the houses are white. The coast is beautiful, we took lots of photos. We liked wandering in the narrow streets. It’s very nice, panoramic historical centre. A must-see site in Puglia!

This « white city » has the typical maze of little streets in which it is so enjoyable to lose oneself. Then you will randomly stumble on an amazing sightseeing on the azure sea. There are also loads of charming little shops around.

By the way, if you are fond of white cities, please note there are others in the region that are even lovelier.

An incredibly beautiful & vibrant city set on top of a hill. Large pedestrian area full of bars, restaurants and shops. Great people watching in the main square! Full of italian tourists (very few foreign tourists!) and just a fun area. The main square at night was filled with people every night we were there. Our Airbnb was in the historic district and close to everything. (It is noisy throughout the night, so keep that in mind when booking places to stay.) We didn't mind as we loved being right in all the action. Parking in town is not allowed, but Ostuni has a pay lot below where we parked for a couple of nights. This town is hilly so bring good walking shoes.

Like so many other historical villages/towns in Italy, walking around in a centro storico is a bit like being there at that period. Most of the time, locals are very friendly and do not mind having a chat where they always ask you where you are coming from. This is what tourism is about.

Nice little town near the east coast of Puglia. Mostly vacant and deserted in February except for locals and a few tourists. I was expecting a bit more based on the blogs and reviews that I read.

Ostuni is called “the White City” (la città bianca). Just wander around the lanes, even stroll along the narrow and quiet streets, you will appreciate the beauty of the white-washed walls and houses. The architecture reminisces its Greek heritage. Walking up to the top, there is a panoramic view of the countryside and Adriatic Sea.

Looking rather like a cut down version of Minas Tirith from Lord of the Rings. This is a well preserved old town of white washed buttressed walls. Well worth exploring due to its considerable charm.
