Not to be missed on your visit to Parikias. It doesn't take long to take a walk around this museum and it is well worth the 2 Euro entrance fee (only 1 if you're a senior!) The artifacts are nicely arranged and well marked with information. Almost everything is from this island and area. There are so many artifacts here that there isn't even room in the museum to house them all! Astounding.

For €2.00 you get a brand new looking building full of artifacts from several centuries ago. The pieces are well marked with appropriate information. The small treasures in the cases are not so well marked. No photos permitted I side but outside there is a lovely mosaic which you can photo.

We liked it. Many exhibits and really great history of the island. They could have been a much more beautiful museum and preserved for all of this history.

By the time we got to Paros, we had seen ALOT of museums and archeological sites, so we almost didn't go to this museum. Although we didn't stay long, we were really impressed with their collection of sarcophagi(sp?) and also the items from the Delian site that we had walked up to the day before (which we highly recommend for a non-touristy site with great views and similar to many highly commercialized sites.)
