Small Venation castle
Sep 2020
The Venation castle from the turn of 13th to 14th Century. Now rather well preserved ruins. The Tower stood on the strategic location and offer good view for the harbor protection. The stone path leading to the castle can be slippery especially when the sea is rough.

Interesting place for a quick visit and photos
Sep 2020 • Couples
This doesn’t take long to see, but allows for some different and interesting photos from the ruins. The sea was quite high when we visited so we had to ‘run the gauntlet’ between the sea spray from the waves to get there along the sea wall.

Neat piece of history in an incredible Greek setting.

This old venetian fort acts as a wave break between the open sea, and the Old Port of Naoussa. It seconds as a phenomenal sight seeing opportunity - you can walk across the storm break wall, right into the fortress! Peer through the seven cannon ports that used to defend this Port in the 15th century. Appreciate the fishing port, and the quaint activity of Naoussa perched along wall standing amongst the Sea. Highly recommend!

Walk To Fort For Outstanding Port Pictures
Sep 2019
The best part of the Fort is the pictures you can take walking to the Fort on the concrete walkway. Allows you to look back into the small Port for great pictures or the boats and white washed buildings.

Beware of splashing waves and slippery walkways

A nice, historic spot to visit and photograph in the historic port of Naoussa. Small, but definitely worth exploring.

Nice for a photo
Sep 2019 • Couples
The fortress is not in a very good conservation state, especially inside. Is well worth to cross the path to take a photo of it and also to have a nice view on Naousa old port

Cute. Great for a little photography session.
Sep 2019 • Friends
Love the old fortress. Lovely looking through the old canon holes. There is a chance you can get wet if the waves hit the rocks. It’s free so five stars.

Jun 2019 • Family
This small castle/ fortress is a quick walk along the sea wall . Once inside, you can see and hear waves crashing around you.

Gorgeous views of the sea
May 2019 • Couples
Though small, this old fort is well-preserved and very pretty. The views of the sea through the old cannon mounts supplied our best photos of the trip. Since you're going to be in the port anyway, don't miss walking through this site.
