First I have to say that we went during the Covid19 semi lockdown.
So the place was not that much frequented.
The museum was closed.
Staff is very friendly and helpful.
The "restaurant" is VERY plain, not really cosy.
You get a short introduction and then take a short of train on wheels.
The trip is VERY bumpeeeee!
The owner who was giving the tour gave some explanations but if you are interested you have to ask for more.
It seems that he has given that tour too many times.
You see some couples and some adult ostriches.
Not really that much to see.
For the kids it is fun when you arrive at the kindergarden.
The little ostrich are very cute.
You can actually touch them.
The shop offer ostrich meat.
It is worth buying some for your BBQ.
We might go there again if nothing else is to do.

You can't believe what they have to say about ostriches! Both young and old are entertained in a great and entertaining way! It's not a petting zoo, it's a farm. It's run with a lot of commitment and heart and with an eye on animal welfare. If you still have time, you should treat yourself to a visit to the restaurant and try ostrich! The service was so nice! We haven't experienced anything like that for a long time! A lovely trip that even makes you forget the rainy weather.

We booked a ~2 hr "train" ride tour, which went to various parts of the farm. It included a tour of their egg incubator, to hatchlings, to all the way up to breeding ostriches, which by the way was very interesting to learn about and see.. The tour includes lots of information about the birds. It is a great activity to bring young children, as they can pet and hold a small hatchling. Our tour was in German language, and not sure if you can get one in English or not. Afterwards, there is a gift shop for anything from feather dusters to egg shells to fresh/canned meat. Also a restaurant, but we didn't stop there. Really a nicely and simply done attraction.

A very educational und delightful adventurous place to vsiit! Fun ostriches of all ages on a gigantic farm. Can be seen with a 2 hour mini train tour with lots to see and afterwards an ostrich meal if you so choose. A slice of South Africa South of Bonn! Ideal also for kids to learn!
