Metternich Castle is a 15 - 20 walk up from the center of Beilstein. It is in a certain condition. Not restored but stabilized. There is a cafe there and the views over the Mosel are inspiring.

This is a ruined castle with an intact tower. The hike (its seriously more than a walk) was challenging for us ladies but it was worth it for the views and the architecture of the castle itself. We built up a good appetite for lunch too!

This castle has been destroyed, but it is still something worth seeing. The hike up there is challenging, but you are rewarded with a beautiful castle. The large, round tower is open to walk up for a stunning view. Also, there is a very nice restaurant on site! The town
