Buy the all day ticket.........
Aug 2016
while in Germany on holiday the girls wanted to go swimming and i knew H20 wasn't far away, found the place and plenty of car parking spaces, we entered the centre and with limited German word the lady behind counter help us the best she could, we was offered 90 min tickets or the all tickets, it was about 13:00 but not too much difference between prices and knowing my girls would want to swim longer than 90 mins opted for all day ticket, glad i did, i thought it was 1 pool and couple of slides overpacked and no room to swim...how wrong i was....your given a token to enter with that token u use for locker and you can buy food or drink but charged on your token and after your finished your swim and got changed before you exit place in machine and pay whats been charged to it, brilliant system they have in place, we did go again after a few days but turned up in morning........... But why would you want to spend all day in swimming pool.............Main pool deep and with dive boards.........A jungle pool with slide for the younger children.......A pool that has the wave machine in........A little slide to by exit to outdoor pool with water jets (heated).........And a lane pool, just for serious swimmers to swim lengths, un-heated this one..........A rubber ring water slide for 1 or 2 persons at a time........A water slide just 1 person at a time......both water slides are control by lights so you know when to go, but also you have a choice of buttons to push which lights up the tunnels...ie space......jungle........blizzard.....and in ring water slide different levels but never really noticed the difference between easy or fast........so much to do and if you have children let them loose to have fun as i had no issues in there and completly safe, but my youngest is 9........the secound time we went we had a picnic with us but still bought food and drinks and a beer and spent the day in there the children really enjoyed there day swimming there is a sauna but think you got to pay extra.........yes ther was alot of people there but due to size of place it didnt seem crowded....... Tips......if you get 90 min ticket and you come out later you will get charged extra, so just buy all day ticket.............take a picnic in with you and do what the Germans do, place a towel over your seat, leave you stuff there minus your money and valubles as they should be in lockers and enjoy your time, very safe and no ones going to steal your lunch, but you can buy food (hot or cold) and drinks even beer, you can smoke if seating outside...........keep an eye on what you charge to your token as can mount up, my childfrens tokens i left in my locker so i could keep count of what we was buying......arrive early spend the day chilling out, swimming you will feel better....... life gaurds are about and will let the children know if your doing something wrong, that includes you the adults.....all pools are heated except for the lane pool outside, and about swim wear no you dont have to wear speedo's you are allowed to wear swimming shorts but i know other places in Germany the male is not allowed to wear any swim shorts and you can get told to leave the pool, so you ok here....i did tell my daughter about this place as she lives in Germany, and she went and loved the place its now a regular place for her and her family.........great place for everyone, enjoy and happy swimming.......

Overpriced for a simple swim
Nov 2018 • Solo
I love swimming for fitness, sadly the onky place to go in Herford between September - May is H20, over priced for a one hour swim this 60 mins includes changing before you even get into the pool AND the drying and getting dressed after your swim, so although it says 60 mins, it really only 35 mins, to save time i have my swimsuit on before i go, wear a pair of joggers and a very loose sweatshirt, i also dont bother with a shower when i get out of the pool but "whack" on my clothes as fast as i can, hence loose clothes to get out before my hour is up, and if for some reason you go over thst hour, one is charged. Iy annoys me everytime. All i want to do is swim. They shoukd have a simple pool for the swimmers away from the attractions its not associated with sports as its more a WATER play park.

Good day out.

H2o is spacious and clean. It relates to young and old. You could spend all day there, relaxing by the pool, having lunch or sunbathing outside in good weather.

Great for everyone!
Mar 2016 • Family
My husband and I visited here on a trip from England with my brother, German sister-in-law, 5 year old nephew and 3 year old niece. It was the first visit for my husband and I.

The website is excellent with all of the information we needed to plan our trip and it was great to find it accessible in English. The place is really easy to find, a short distance from the centre of Herford and car parking is free with numerous spaces. Prices were reasonable for a days admission, in my opinion. You get a chip (plastic coin) for entry which also provides you access to a locker and is used to charge any purchases (e.g. food) to, I thought this was a really clever idea!.

The changing rooms were clean and provided the facilities we needed, there were lots of changing rooms which fit 2 of us in easily and plenty of lockers available with loads of room. Hairdryers were available and there's a machine to enter your chip and pay for your purchases before you leave (like at a car park).

There's on-site food which is adequate - hot and cold choices, snacks and 'proper' meals, healthy and junk food. Seating is available for food or spectators and lots of deckchairs are scattered around the pools. I noticed plenty of people took their own food and drink and this seemed to be perfectly acceptable, i.e. no one appeared to be told off for this and they were doing it in plain sight.

The facilities are excellent, there's lots of fun for everyone! There's a main pool with 2 diving boards which most swimmers were using for swimming lengths, a children's pool with tiny slide (this was suitable for my niece), a middle sized pool for fun, a couple of children's pools and play areas (pirate and jungle themed with slides and water cannons) - these were fab!, a wave pool and a circular pool with rapids. The wave pool was excellent, the most powerful wave machine I've experienced, even where the waves break. The rapid pool was lots of fun! There are also two slides for adults, one ('Thunderbird') being a fast one and the other being suitably exciting but also mild enough for people like me who get scared of waterslides! Outside is a main pool which was being used for people swimming lengths and a good sized 'fun' pool.

We stayed for about 3 hours at which point I was getting a bit bored but the children loved it and I did enjoy it I would just have left a little earlier if we were on our own. We would recommend to other families and would visit again.

Great place to relax or have fur with kids
Feb 2016 • Family
No complaints except the fact that i had to wait 40 minutes for a salad, Chicken toscana or something like that, and when i asked if my salat is still coming they told me it takes a bit longer because they need to bake the mozzarella, to which it was pointless to argue, i work in F&B so 40 min for any salat is way to much :)) but the place is amazing for kids of any age, multiple pool and water slides for all kids, there are even beds for kids, multiple sauna with hourly ritual ( plenty to choose from) and in summer im sure its even more enjoyable since you can stay outside near a pond or a small waterfall.

Great day out (or in, rather)
Apr 2015 • Couples
For us UK based travellers this is a genuine treat. Extensive and well maintained indoor pool, with flames and all. Outdoor pool great for swimming, but I would avoid getting there bang on doors opening to avoid the rush. Gets very busy at weekends, and mornings can be busy with swimming classes - go weekday lunchtime onward. Only snag is that the onsite food is very chips and sausage and nothing much else! So be prepared to BYO if not your thing (not ours). But can't beat it for a family fun time!

I love H20!
Jul 2014 • Couples
H20 has a number of pools, they have a schedule of times when one pool is closed off for those that want to have an actual swim. There is a strong wave machine which everyone enjoys, a whirlpool and 2 big slides. The outdoor pool area is lovely when it's warm, although will get very crowded so go early to get beds. You are able to bring your own food and drink but there is also a small restaurant area that is reasonsbly priced which serves drinks, bratwursts, pommes, currywurst. A lovely venue for all ages.
