If in Hanover, with a couple hours to spare, and you enjoy aircraft you won't be disappointed. Well set out in 2 hangars with exquisite small models of aircraft in glass cases lining the walls. Others contemporary items help put the aircraft in hangar 1 into context.

Small, dusty, idiosyncratic museum that was clearly the product of one man's vision/obsession. This is not a corporate, polished museum, but obviously something deeply felt. Aircraft, models of aircraft, flight crew uniforms (civilian and military), engines, parts, and tools, and even some automobiles and weapons, were all on display. And it's possible to get really close to the aircraft and... More

I am a massive Airplane and History Fan, so for me this was the best 3 1/2 Hours I have spent in a long time. I had been meaning to come here for a ages and was very happy that my expectations were exceeded.. Firstly this is one of the best WW1 Exhibitions I have seen, They have a Fokker... More

As a aircraft and aviation lover I was like a kid in a candy store here, Huge collection of all thinkable (military) aircraft, engines, equipment etcetera can be found in two large halls. At times it feels a bit cramped though due to the lack of sufficient space or trying to display too much stuff at once. However I would... More

I have just returned from a holiday to Hannover and visited the museum, it was a wonderful place and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area, it cost 8 euro's but well worth every cent. I spent over 2 hours in there seeing everything about the history of aviation with over 50 full size planes dating from the... More

This was a very interresting museum with quite a few aircrafts and countless of well made airplane models, (the models were actually built by an employee at the museum, impressive). If you are interrested in aeroplanes then this museum is a must.

For some reason, I expected much more, but there are only handful of the real planes, most are either mock-ups (old ones) or presented as scale models (a lot!). You can see and peek into F-104G and MiG-15, check iside of the Ju-52 cabin, see frot parts of FW-190 and Me-109, as well as An-2 and couple of others. Good... More

This was a really enjoyable museum. There was a good range of aircraft and it wasn't too busy so it was possible to take your time and enjoy the exhibits. A great day out.
