Visited on saturday. Tasted lots of wine. All the family was there and atmosphere fantastic. And most importantly the wines are great. And our son also got apfel schorle..... I can only recommend for wine fans!

My partner and I rented bikes to ride alongside the Main River near Würzburg. We quickly realized that the "wine culture" was not the same in this region as we have become used to in the U.S., finding that many wineries were not open or set up for pre-set tastings. Our bad! Anyway, we rode to Weingut Schmitt's Kinder and were let in by one of the owners, who was incredibly welcoming. One of his knowledgeable staff members then walked us through a personalized tasting, paying particular attention to the wines that are available for sale in the U.S. (at our request). The wine was delicious. What a great experience -- we are already trying to locate this brand back home!
