Entrance is free, so its definitely something for travellers on a budget. Inside its bright and grand. since the ceiling and walls are in white and light blue with lots of stucco, the overall impression is not depressing as some baroque churches can be. The altar is a vision in gold. One does wonder where in that region the money... More

Its a beautifully constucted basilica located on top of the hill. Nearby area is beautiful and evenings can be quite pleasant.

Stunning interior and worth waiting until full hours to listen to the clock work. The basilica is set in a charming village with good lunch and dining opportunities.

I absolutely love visiting this church, I spent many years in my childhood here and it still fascinates me to this day! It simply takes your breath away....a must see if you're in the area!

It is a fantastic Gothic architecture. Very ornate. A church service was going on and the music we heard was really beautiful. Would have like to have gone in the church and looked around, but that wasn't possible.

The town of Gossweinstein has a beautifull roccoco basilica that is really worth having a look at the outside and the interior

Just to get an English review in here - a pretty church, a small town with several tourist shops (open on Sunday). Exterior is prettier than the interior. Make sure you walk around the outside the church, and perhaps up to the cross on the hill. Parking lot is about 200 meters downhill from the church too (2 euro).
