Such a tranquil and beautiful church. We were surprised to find a protestantic church here. And fell in love with the wooden carvings and the history behind them. An the lovely bridge between the two towers! Amazing - We imagine that they suddenly refused going up and down between them and thus built a bridge!

The Stadtkirche is just one of the many reasons to visit the lovely town of Esslingen. Very peaceful, charming and full of history as is all of the town. I wish there was a category for the town itself as it deserves it's own review. Loved Esslingen

We popped in here to light a Remembrance candle during our afternoon visit to the Medieval Xmas Market. We had been advised to check ouit the old stained glass windows, which were indeed impressive.

We visited the crypt of the church as part of a tour organized by my German language teacher. It is so interesting, the first crypt I ever visited. It's not too creepy, and it's really interesting to learn about the medieval history there. I'm not exactly sure how these visits get organized however.

Like most Churches throughout Germany, this one seemed so peaceful compared to larger cathedrals. It is in a quiet surrounding with a hill next to it..

Esslingen has a lot of good quality hotels and homestays as well. Beautiful surroundings and scenic places make it worth staying on. Away from noisy cities Esslingen is a calm and peaceful place. Churches and wineries are worth visiting.

I found this church architecture very unique with the twin towers and a connecting bridge.
Travelled with my colleague and went inside the church.
Looks nice from inside as well.
The church is big and has 2 floors inside though they are not accessible to the visitors.
This is a defintely nice place to be and see.
