I was in Esslinger for a business trip. Most of my visit involved meetings during the day, and dinner in the evening. With every restaurant we had dinner at, the service and food was delicious. I wish I wrote down the names of the restaurants...More

I'm unsure if there is an easier way up the hill, but we took a road up (with a jogging stroller) about 180m and the views were amazing! I was wishing that the biergarten was open when we reached the top but they are closed...More

You can drive up there and park nearby. This castle is ancient and really nice- we take our international guests here, because of the historic value, the nice floral decoration and the great view over the city. Great playground upfront, old original cannons for kids...More

one of the most beautiful places in Esslingen with a great view across Esslingen. Do try the restaurant "Trödler" inside, fantastic food and service

I recommend enjoying the view and then a walk down the stairs to the Marktplatz. The walk up is steep but invigorating. The castle is still in decent shape.

If you arrive in the center of Esslingen city then do not miss this point of interest. There are many stairs to climb, but once you'll be there you'll see that worth it.

You can go to the castle on old wooden stairs from the inner center of the city. Around them grows a vineyard from which they produce local region champagne. When you reach the top you have a beautiful view over the city and historical buildings...More

But most people park somewhere near the Market Place of Esslingen and walk up the romantic old stairs to the Burg, where you have awesome views on Esslingen and you feel thrown back to the Medieval.
