This chateau is one of the largest imposing buildings in the village. The pool is beautiful along with gardens. It's a little pricey for what you get with this tour. It's not super impressive inside.

We passed a pleasant hour doing this tour. It is well presented and the English guides provided were good. It does make the best of the resources available but it is pricey for what it is. So not great value for money. There was a young lady practicing on the piano in the music room and this did add to the experience.

We only had time to explore the outside and then a quick walk through the old town area. Seemed very quaint and interesting. Will definitely do the full castle tour when we return.

We were very lucky to be visiting Chateau de Lourmarin, during their 10th Renaissance Fete May 25th & 26th. This is a beautifully restored castle that is in itself worth a visit but they did a wonderful job of recreating a real renaissance fair of bygone days. A banquet scene, dancers, sword fight demonstration, medieval weapons, food, games, witches, etc. Friendly staff and you could walk into Lourmarin for lunch, dinner, or ice cream.

Chateau de Lourmarin is in Lourmarin, one of the “plus beaux villages de France”. It is definitely worth a visit.

The rooms are furnished appropriately, and help provide a vision of the past. Of particular interest is the music room, populated with numerous instruments. From the windows you can view the donkeys grazing in the field outside.

The audio guide is extremely helpful and provides much interesting information about the Chateau. If you visit Lourmarin, make time for a visit to the Chateau.

A wonderful chateau that has been restored and decorated with period furniture including a double key spinet piano. It was great fun to wander and wonder and picturing what it would have been at the time. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

We really enjoyed exploring Lourmarin and the chateau is an important part of that. Our 12 year old son especially loved it - the staff was wonderful and they have great little treasure hunt maps for the kids, too (example: find these instruments in the music room or find all the shapes in this window pane). We really enjoyed our time there and would recommend it. I have nothing negative to say - the only reason it does not get the highest mark is because, well, with all the incredible breathtaking stuff in France it takes a lot to get the highest mark. :)

Spent an hour and a half visiting this chateau during a lovely October day. The member of staff at the desk in reception/shop was most helpful and took a lot of time explaining the history of the chateau to us and drawing our attention to aspects of the exhibition that were particularly interesting. She spoke to us in English because our French doesn’t extend to aspects of French history. This was of great assistance to us and really made our visit. There were English explanations available in each room.

Stopped here to see the Grave of Camus. Definitely recommended for English majors and fans of Existentialism.

We walked from there to the Chateau in our daily quest for 10,000 steps.

Fairly good effort to put the castle in the context of French history.

The Chateau is a wonderful little castle with all the bells and whistles. Many period furniture, nice views, and a beautifully maintained garden. You can spend as much time as you wish, or whistle through.
