A good 40 minute tour, supported by iPads with an English commentary. A great way to get a quick understanding of Louis Pasteur and 19th century life. The teenagers survived and even learnt a bit!

They have Ipad's for the non-french speaking visitors. Interesting stories and the house seems like Pasteur just left it.

Be sure to check the hours, it is not open all day in winter. But if you know who Pasteur is, this is a fascinating experience. House is perfectly preserved. Good ipad guide and presentation

This is Pasteurs home so you wander through the different rooms, very well done. The audio guides are well done. Photographs adorn the walls and the museum is very well done.

The small mansion houses not only furniture and such, but also a fascinating collection of Pasteur's original's tools and notes. We spent several hours going through the exhibit, but then we're kinda geeky that way. If you enjoy the history of science and medicine, or...More

It's wonderful to see this remarkable house where Pasteur set up his own workshop. But they give out ridiculous iPads and headphones combo to guide visitors with more info. The problem is you end up walking round reading the iPad instead of looking at the...More

Arbois is just a 50 km drive from Besancon. Enjoy the sight of the vineyards along the way. Stop at the quiet church of St Just to admire the bell tower and stained glass before heading to Louis Pasteur's house. The artefacts are well preserved...More

His house is fascinating and it's probably one of the few places that hasn't been touched much since he lived there. The rooms and decorations are all still beautifully intact. The guide was well-informed and answered all questions fully even with our english speaking group....More
