We rented 3 bikes and booked an all day tour of Akamas. Eleni patiently answered our questions via e-mail and helped us find a ride that met the interest and skill level of our group. The ride we selected was a loop that climbed up into into the mountains of the Akamas National Park then back along the coastline to the baths of Aphordite. The views in the mountains, as well as along the coastline, were amazing and rewarding. The bikes were in good condition and were clearly all well taken care of. Our guide (Michalis) tailored the route and pace to the needs of the riders in our group. He had a pleasant personality and shared some interesting facts and information during the ride, but didn't talk on incessantly. He also kindly took some photos of us on the ride, which were e-mailed to us afterwards. We had a wonderful time thanks to the professionals as Activate Cyprus and highly recommend their services.

I have known Mike for a few years and he introduced me both to great people (= Savvas & Michalis!) on the island, who appreciate nature, remoteness and sports, as well as to the island itself! One can hardly believe how special Cyprus is once you venture outdoors, to the mountains, away from the beaches. Vast untouched forests, single trails to ride, authentic villages and great food. Activate Cyprus brings all of these together - so, do join them on one of their tours, or just talk to them and get inspired!

I rented a basic hardtail MTB to ride during my stay in Limassol which was great and I did a number of local rides, one of which was shared with me by Mike. I then spent the day with Mike guiding me on a full suspension bike on single track around Mt Oympus. Mike is a very accomplished and friendly guy to spend time with and I thoroughly enjoyed it as he tailored the pace and technicality to my ability.

Rented a Scott road bike which was in great condition and delivered to the hotel.
Only fault was the slight confusion on taking the bike back as rather than arranging collection I took it back to the office which had been closed, however the bike was picked up from the hotel the next day after reaching the members of staff. Probably easiest to just arrange to have them deliver and collect the bike

From e mail responses on line to delivery of 2 well maintained road bikes this was a flawless process. We hired two Scott road bikes for 2 weeks, delivered to our accommodation exactly on time with 2 water notes each, helmets and 2 spare tubes and tool kits.
The staff were helpful, friendly and courteous, Mike suggested a couple of routes that we should try and local places to visit. The bikes were excellent and we would highly recommend this service.

We organized a five-day mountain biking trip in the Troodos mountains through Bikin' Cyprus. Our idea was to book a hotel/apartment in the area and to explore the many paths on our own with maybe the first day with a guide to get some insights into the area.
From the first contact with the company, we knew we were in the right hands. Mike (Michalis) and his crew are astoundingly professional, efficient, and polite in their communication and organization. They offered us many options for what we wanted out of our holiday.
Besides the multiple bike options they had (incl support kit), they also provided us with a vehicle mount for our rental car. Perhaps the best deal was the Garmin tracker on which they had preplanned 5 days' worth of (circular) tracks in the area! There was an insane amount of planning on their end just for this!
Mike (founder and, as it turns out, ex-professional mountainbiker) helped us all the way and was our guide for a day. He was charming, hilarious, and just great company. He had many good tips for us and despite our serious lack of experience we never felt rushed. Although he challenged us at times with the route, he made sure we felt safe and capable. In our many discussions throughout the day we got to know him, his history, and his ambitions. It turned out that he is almost singlehandedly responsible for putting organized road and mountain biking on the map in Cyrpus. His company keeps growing: from organizing big cycling events, to renting out biking gear, to offering biking tours/guides. Very inspirational indeed. As a pro, he is able to keep up with the best and he knows ALL the tracks on the island.
He has big plans to expand cycling sports in Cyprus and is working with local partners such as the Troodos Hotel to realize his ambitions. The Troodos Hotel, incidentally, offers a cycle taxi service that can whip you and your bikes to the start of your trails and collect you again. Still in its early days, we have no doubt that Cyprus (and the Troodos range in particular) will become a cycling mecca for enthusiasts in the coming years.
Either way, Bikin' Cyprus is the way to go whatever your level and needs!

As a keen mountain biker I've jealously read the stories in MBR Magazine of the reporters going to some exotic place and hurtling down a mountain side seeing parts of the world I'm never likely to. I therefore had the idea to try and organise my own adventure during our family holiday to Cyrus this year, a very standard package deal in an all-inclusive (no need to leave the hotel at all) in Paphos. Being August and the height of the summer there weren't any group tours to tag onto, but Bikin'Cyprus suggested a solo guided tour in the Troodos for €80 which included hire of the bike, helmet and Mike, the MD for the day. In order to get from Paphos to the top of Troodos mountains required the hiring of a car, as its a good hour and a half, but I used Lady's car hire and they provided a very cheap if a little 'lived-in' car for a similar amount for a 2 day hire.
I met Mike at the cafe in the main square and after an iced coffee we set off. The bike was excellent, a recent vintage Trek 29" full suspension. Mike asked me a few questions about the level of riding I wanted to do, how long I wanted to go out for (we did about 4 hours in the end, but he was happy to go all-day!) and he took me off down a shortish trail to gauge my ability and then we set off for real.
It was magnificent, Mike was an excellent guide, he knew the trails like the back of his hand, he gave clear and concise directions and warnings, was jovial, laid-back and even provided delicious local pastries from his ruck-sack when we stopped at an amazing isolated water-fall, that very few tourists ever get to see. An unforgettable experience, both in terms of the bits of Cyprus I would have never got to see, but also the brilliantly varied and just the right side of challenging riding he managed to provide for me. Ok it was the most expensive bike ride I'm ever likely to go on, but so much more worthwhile than the tourist trap tours put on by the travel company reps. He even video it (I've uploaded it to YouTube) and took pictures that he put up on Strava. Can't recommend it enough.

Arrange to hire a road bike for my partner while we were still at home in the UK. All correspondence was done via email. They were very quick to reply, I was dealing with Chryso who was extremely helpful. They arrange the delivery of the bike for a reasonable fee and collection too from our hotel in Protaras. Chryso even emailed over a map of a route for my partner to follow. All in all an excellent service would highly recommend them.
Thank you Chryso

Google maps will help you find them tucked away in a beautiful village up in the hills.
The two people we met were delightful and very helpful.
We were sorted out with two good quality Scott full suspension bikes adorned with good quality, well maintained components.
They even lent us a garmin with routes they loaded up for us based on our needs. 2 routes round Mt Olympus, one more challenging than the other but both were great fun and gave us amazing views.
Go to these guys and you'll have nothing to worry about

First time I had hired road bike on visit to Cyprus.
Service provided and quality of bike both first class. Delivery and collection to me arranged for very reasonable charge.
Plenty of quiet country roads with minimum of traffic.
Highly recommended.
